Oh yes, a voice can be a very attractive thing, too... But I've put it into the same category as "must have big boobs" :P And yes, I think after all those years of being completely deprived of physical affection, I'll be a total cuddle addict... I wish OKCupid weren't basically dead here... There were like 20 people active in the last year, lol. Hm, I would not wanna date someone who is unpunctual and half-asses things (these seem to be strongly correlated) is a social media addict and posts eve…

I'm working on my kilos... though it isn't that much even (93kg for a 175cm guy). I found my smile again this summer when I got out of the worst part of my depression. Had my first kiss/makeout on my solo holidays (with a girl I didn't even flirt with)... which was mindblowing to put it mildly. I started Ju Jitsu and Kendo a month ago, and a pushup challenge in august (because I was very good with them and core strength in military 7 years ago, and I have to start taking care of my back... I'm 2…

For that, they'd have to look in my direction first :/

Yeah but for some it really is pretty much never. I mean, I had it happen one week ago. Before that, I honestly can't remember the last time I had it happen. Must be over a decade. And my memory isn't that bad. I can remember that compliment I got in summer '08 about my eyebrows. EDIT: fuck, 2008 is a fucking decade ago...

Well, thing is, I'm not even ugly. So I don't even have that as an excuse. :/

When a girl smiles at you, you absolutely have to approach her ELI5 how do I get them to smile at me?

I'm not sure you understand the meaning of the word "never".

Again, nothing but excuses. Where do you see an excuse? I don't see any. Who said life was easy for anyone? No one, me neither. I don't see where I claimed that. You were in the military for a whole entire year? Well by golly that's like forever.... I was in for six years Is this a dick measuring contest now? Your goal shouldn't be to find the right combination of medicines. It should be to make life manageable while you figure out the thing in your life that need changing. Thanks, Cpt. Obvious.…

Such is life. You actually get kinda used to it after a decade...

you are essentially saying that you can't improve because of an outside force. No. I'm saying it makes it much, much harder because fighting chronic bipolar depression for a decade is extremely draining. When is the last time you went to the gym at least three times a week for a year straight and lifted heavy? Weight lifting is just as effective, if not more effective than medication and counseling combined. Never, but I was in the military for over a year straight, and got very fit. Guess what,…

Take some time to do some instrospection. Find something you want. Something that drives you forwards. Let that be your purpose and mission in life to accomplish. I haven't found anything that drives me forwards in over a decade. Because that's what chronic depression does to you.

Well, if you shit money you can get surgery to get your legs broken and grown together at a slight distance to make you a tad taller xD

I don't know how it is there, but in Germany/Austria/Switzerland we have great associations/fraternities. I'm not that popular and am quite introvert, but they immediately welcomed me and it was about the best decision I've made to join them.

How about getting rid of that distrust and talk to them like the human beings they are?

But stuff like this is attractive to some, don't forget that. I also knew someone from the military who later got thrown out and was dumb as a brick, and apparently one of his ways of picking up girls was to tell them how he used to beat up his girlfriend and stuff. And telling others how impressively you "abuse" others a "technique" that works for both genders.

Or the exact opposite of losers, though probably not applicable to this very example. As in "they feel the same about those losers as I do".

"Read a book for dimwit wusses" is hardly what I'd call advice. And again: what leads you to your (wrong) conclusions?

That book is a waste of time and disk space... And as I said, as soon as I am at a place to meet someone I don't even have a problem. "Phobia", pff, what am I supposed to be afraid of exactly?

Yeah you know, tight groups. I know what kinds of groups you mean. I was at an event from the psychology students a few weeks back, and I was probably the only one who didn't know anyone (I don't study that), but no problem, I was talking to girls and ended up in a small group of people having a good time. Maybe that's how it is at bars in the USA, but here? Lol, nah ^ I wish! That woulf be heaven.

Yeah here it's like "wtf, someone's talking to me?! Why? I don't want to buy anything from you, thankyouverymuch" :P

Yeah, I know they aren't special in conversation. But see, I usually don't talk about FORD topics, rather about current circumstances, stuff in common or, if it goes that way, politics. Which is all nice, but doesn't really connect. So I suck at those topics :/ No, no, with another girl a while back ^ It still annoys me that I didn't take the chance back then... Well, thanks a lot for your advice :)

Well it's not like I've been sitting around pondering if I should write her. I was just kinda discouraged to do anything for a while since she didn't write me back and somehow I didn't feel like it's worth the effort. Tbh I still kinda don't feel like it, I'm terribly lazy, but on the other hand I felt a little chemistry, and I know that I'll regret it if I don't try. I'm gonna see her at another event on the 5th of August, I feel like it might be better to use that occasion? Not trying to find …

Like out of the blue? "Hey, I haven't written in a good three weeks, but let's meet for a couple beers"? Sorry, am total noob with that stuff.
