Yeah, but: I’m not fat I try to eat healthy and go outside on walks in nature I groom and shower every day or every other day I dress in clothes I like that are in my opinion rather stylish to wear I try to be open, friendly and compassionate with my friends I try to work on my hobbies and interests despite my depression and aspergers What more can one realistically ask of me? Am I really THAT unattractive? THAT unconfident? THAT socially oblivious? I don’t think so! Yet it seems like I have no …

Beats me! I am fairly comfortable in my own skin, but when I and other ask people on here ask for advice we usually get this carbon-cut answer. Like, I like myself a fair bit! But in my experience, it seems like other people - especially girls on a romantic level - don’t seem to reciprocate my affection and notice me resting in myself. And if you never receive positive feedback, it’s a little hard to stay positive. :(

Isn’t this a little toxic though? Telling people to stop being themselves and to adopt a character role which is often draining and confusing to pull off?

Damn I never knew wanting human intimacy which is hardwired into our biology is “needy”. Literally all my romantically successful friends have lamented not having a partner, got one, and now feel better. Clearly their neediness didn’t turn people away. I’m so tired of this never-ending hamster wheel cycle of “self-improvement”, “loving yourself”, “finding your hobbies”, and “working on yourself and your confidence”. Just...bleugh. I feel the advice people give on this site - especially to young …

A non-incel incel advocate? Dude I love you so much and this is literally the only thing I know about you ahahhaha If you'd like to tell me how you came to hold these views I would LOVE to hear about it! I'm a non-hateful incel/virgin myself, and while I have embraced lookism, and the blackpill, hating women, chad or whatever is just cringeeee to me. We're all just humans trying to get by in this life. Some of us just aren't meant to make it from an evolutionary standpoint :)))

I think you are a good person OP, and that your post was only made with the best intentions, since you have been in a dark place yourself. I hope you know that I and other people are happy to see you've succeeded and are doing better today! But for some people like me and the sligtly-snarky poster above me, it feels like a repackaging of talking points only applicable to those who haven't reached the event horizon of depression. Don't take it personally if some people on reddit get mad when you …

Not cool. It’s derogatory. In the context of a joke? It can be anything from cringe to hilarious.

No. The blackpill, though? Hell yes. Half of my friends are already blackpilled and some family members seem receptive to blackpill core beliefs (without knowing the term “blackpill”, mind you).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
