I’m in a similar boat, my wife wants an uncontested divorce so she doesn’t spend in attorney fees. In a beginning I said ok, she keeps her savings, 401k and her money and I keep mine although I have way way less. Kids are adult so no CS, no alimony. She can stay in the house and we’ll sell it with equity. However she’s a miserable mean witch and does anything to humiliate me. I threatened her to break our agreement. I will take her money if she keeps on messing with me. I do not deserve that tre…

We all fill the void somehow but when you do it for the wrong reasons it tend to bite you in the ass. So get your shit together and stop the compulsive drinking before it becomes an addiction.

People are good until they stop being good, no reason to stick around. Lots of people suffer from the Barbie & Kent syndrome. I prefer “Be water, my friend”. Brucelee.com/podcast-blog/2016/7/20/2-be-water-my-friend

Good for you! I’m in the middle of it and it’s no fun. I try to stay cool for my own sanity but I can’t wait to get out out of here. I didn’t beg or cry, I’m cool with getting divorced and that makes her mad. She said: you did not fight for me. I responded: you’re not worth it. Love is a choice, we can decide to love a person or not, that is entirely our power. Life has price for everything, nothing comes free.

Common sense for sure but humans a social creatures and it feels food to trust someone. Love works like a drug and release lots of dopamine in the brain. No wonder one can’t think clearly, it’s a process. Some ppl suffer from a form of social avoidance disorder due to trauma and appear very strong and confident but anger always leaks in some ways. To believe that you must always prevail to prevent emotional distress and that trauma is always self inflicted is a lie you tell yourself to avoid unc…

everybody deals with it in a different way but you’re right about the denial. It’s a phase that is difficult to deal with. People are afraid to move on and believe their life is over because they have a low self esteem due to constant abuse from their wives. The future is uncertain and they freak out. Fortunately it gets better over time as long they stop victimizing themselves and grow a pair and stop being weak.

I’m 5 months into separation and it’s been a roller coaster. Although I gained clarity and can see my stbxw for who she is, I’m happy we’re getting a divorce. I’ve been living a lie for so long.

Dude, I hope you’re okay. You always have that kind of comments on reddit and that’s not normal. You have a lot of anger and medicate with obscene language, red flag. Stay well.

Let’s hope for the best but be prepared. My wife lied to me through her teeth. She guilt tripped me for anything to mask out what was really going on and the more I was down the more she pushed deeper. According stats, There’s an exploding rate of narcissistic women and they are coming strong.

I would ask a paternity’s test, your wife is playing you. After the separation, I uncovered lies that I would have never imagined. All the arguments and the bs to call for separation were just excuses to hide her true colors.

Usually, when separating or divorcing is because both partners are not getting what they want out of the relationship. It’s normal to miss her companionship and friendship, we tend to idealize the relationship and forget about all the instances we were frustrated. The fact is that we were not happy and couldn’t find a way to achieve reciprocated love so the big question is what make you think you can fix all the problems this time?

So your kids hacked the laptop and she can’t sue you for invasion of privacy. I hope they did it on their own and that you have nothing to do with it. Be careful, it might bring you trouble down the road. As I try to learn about what’s legal or not, it’s not like you can just hack into her phone/ laptop and use it against her in court. If the phone is on a family plan, you have the right to check the call log but any further action is off limit. It depends on the state but there are specific fed…

I have nothing to support the idea that she cheated but her behavior and we’re talking years of clues unmistakably point out to it. I tried many times to talk about us, but she was straight on the defensive and deflected the conversation to avoid having to talk about the situation. To her, I was always assuming things. She would get annoyed and an argument was an easier way out. Like I said, I stopped caring. Deep down I still love her but love is choice we make, we decide to love a person or no…

Sorry for what you are going through. I feel you and have a similar experience. I agree, people with npd are very difficult to deal with. My stbxw is a teacher’s pet and everybody is charmed but in reality, she’s mean, jealous and toxic. She’s a master in creating ambiguities leading others into conclusions based on platerisms. Over the years, she became demanding and needy like she’s entitled to everything while the rest of us are peasants. Her views are nothing less than admirable but it’s all…

Same boat, 5 years trying to please her only to be rejected and nagged at every time she opens her mouth. Organized the best bday surprise party with all her friends and she didn’t even say thank you my love. She finally got balls to pull the plug in February, it was hard and I was confused at times but I must say that since I stopped trying to talk to her, I’m finally seeing some clarity and care less and less everyday. On the contrary, my future looks promising and I feel better.

I won’t have any responsibility. My divorce is pretty straightforward as long she doesn’t complicate things, even though kids are adult, no debt and the division of assets is rather simple. So it’s me and myself, I can work from anywhere I want and plan on traveling. I will definitely not be dating anytime soon but will look for occasional company.

No matter what you do not move out, stay put until it’s legal and do not trust a word she say. She could be talking to a lawyer tmr and turn your world upside down. Divorce is more than often a war and can be cruel.

Marriage couseling is just a theorical mind frame to help you compromise. It doesn't save your marriage, it just put some lipstick on it so you feel compelled to compromise. It was designed to confuse us until we doubt ourselves and are forced to reeducation and function within a theorical mind frame that is supposed to make our wives satisfied. Call it plastic love if you like but in the end love becomes a currency that our wives use to get what they want. Your wife like mine are just pretendin…
