Holding future generations of people responsible for actions they did not commit and probably their ancestors did not commit is absurd (Only about 1.5-2% of people were slave owners during the 1800s). Life has been terrible to all of us and probably most of our ancestors. Rather focus on problems of the here and now.

I understand the argument, but at some point both people have to accept the consequences of a failed marriage. The assets gained through the marriage are divided already in cases like this (including retirement accounts, social security, etc.). Throwing in permanent payments on top of that are excessive. If both parents are already working beforehand and have a 50% split then I agree no alimony should be necessary. If one person is a stay at home parent for the majority of the marriage to support the other seeking a higher paying career, I can see a 1 year window to find a job to support themselves before the alimony stops.

In some cases it is necessary, but it should be two things. 1) Non-gendered 2) Limited Time for a maximum of 1-2 years. During that time the person receiving alimony should be able to find a job to take care of themselves. In no way does it make sense to permanently be taken care of by your ex when you aren't married any longer.

Over believed/not believed, people should be taken seriously when making these kinds of claims. Then they should seriously look for evidence of the claim. 1Then the evidence should be able to speak for itself. When you automatically believe one party over another, you leave the door open for abuse.

I would guess that more men work in the fields that keep this country running. If we were separate there would be very few women working in the water treatment plants, electrical stations, etc. Conversely, I think (in the U.S. at least) males would face some issues educating their children unless some adjustments were made. I think both would eventually manage... but I think women would be worse off in quality off life until it did.

Sorry. I am going to assume you are male. Because of your lack of a uterus, you are not allowed to have opinions on this matter either for or against (I doubt they would do this to people who support their opinion, but you get the point.) Shaming/silencing techniques even if you strongly disagree with someone's opinions are just a bad idea (stops are reasonable discussion). People don't change their opinions based on these techniques.

Think his definition of a uterus card is different than yours. Believe he is simply stating that he can still have an opinion/debate about abortion without having a uterus. Mostly he is against this silencing technique "Your opinion is invalid and/or you should be quiet because you don't have a vagina/uterus."

Why is it offensive? It's his political beliefs. You don't have to agree with them. However, you should be able to agree with the main premise he talks about... Lack of a uterus should not stop him from having an opinion or discussion about abortion.

In western countries you aren't going to get them. You are assumed to be a pedophile for liking children (even though pedophiles make up such a small percentage of the population.) I don't even want to get started on the number of females having "relationships" with children. If you wish to be an elementary teacher work in Asia. Parents still trust you. I watched parts of the trial. There was not enough evidence to prove either way what happened. Prosecution relied heavily on feels to try to get a conviction.
