They said they couldn't buy it and only received a copy from Cassie at 9 o'clock the night before the interview. Those hosts are people who have lives and aren't on duty 24/7. Cassie's response https://twitter.com/Cassie_Jaye/status/874159232542621696

r/TheRedPill/ subreddit where there is "discussion of sexual strategy in a culture increasingly lacking a positive identity for men", is probably what you have heard about. MRAs (who are the focus of the movie) don't particularly care about sexual strategies or anything like that. They are also definitely not far right (in general). Here's why film got the name - From the director's Cassie Jaye's AMA The title The Red Pill refers to the cultural metaphor for “seeing the painful truth of reality”…

Really appreciate the effort you put into this submission and the replies. Also, /r/FeMRADebates too is a good venue for the sorts of discussions you seem to be interested in having.

Have you contacted any other relevant person apart from the journalist you spoke of in your post on /r/TwoXChromosomes. For example somebody like Cathy Young [she was the first (i believe) to write about from the accused's POV in the 'mattress girl case'] who is somewhat sympathetic to mensrights issues would probably be willing to look into your story. SAVE OUR SONS (despite the name) will also definitely be interested.

The most comprehensive resource for domestic violence in general (operating outside the "feminist paradigm") would be PARTNER ABUSE STATE OF KNOWLEDGE PROJECT (PASK) (Direct links to the freely availabe articles of this project - 1, 2 , 3, 4, 5) My current resources are The Myth of the male power of Warren Farrell and a paper from Donald G. Subjected to a tsunami of violent threats and abuse I would like to see some examples of this tsunami. I was following her twitter feed and the replies she was getting. I didn't see any such thing (maybe I missed it). Edit - The huffingtonpost article says - "Since the incident, Phillips has faced a barrage of online abuse and has been privately a…

Estimating Gender Disparities in Federal Criminal Cases From the conclusion This study finds dramatic unexplained gender gaps in federal criminal cases. Conditional on arrest offense, criminal history, and other pre-charge observables, men receive 63% longer sentences on average than women do. Women are also significantly likelier to avoid charges and convictions, and twice as likely to avoid incarceration if convicted.

But India is a different story, where 85% of the users are women. How the hell are they getting that. The graph shows red for cities where the more than 85% users are male and yellow if less than 85% are men. Edit- I guess the author thought yellow means 85%+ are women.

Why do 'we' need to know need to know who exactly is the person who made the supposed false accusation? Unlike the Cathy Young article this brings no new separate information about the incident apart from a couple of speculations.

..but i do remember thinking that it wasn't as bad as i expected. By not as bad i mean as bad as for example this charming article by Molly Dragiewicz which cites the above book. The backlash against gender-sensitive responses to women’s victimization, offending, and imprisonment is inseparable from contemporary reaction against feminism and other progressive movements. The backlash against the American Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) provides a prime example of this resistance. Despite widesp…

Or, you know, laws prohibiting women from driving? In how many countries from the 25 mentioned in the article are women prohibited from driving. I think none. Laws treating women as the property of their husband? In what sense? Genuine question. I want to learn. Are they applicable to the countries mentioned?

I don't understand what any of it has to do with the original point? Even if "women have been the most discriminated upon group in the history of the world" (whatever that means), why can't you say "aww poor men" in regards to them being subjected to violence if most of the victimizers happen to be other men.
/r/MensRights29/03/15 10:42 AM

Because this sub seems to say poor men all the time when it's the men that's causing the harm in the first place. Men are not an unified entity. The man who is suffering and the men who cause that are typically not the same person. If hundreds of school boys are killed by other men it makes sense to say 'poor boys'. The acceptance of violence towards boys and men (relative to girls and women) isn't just limited to men. Men have their faults and this sub needs to realize that they're not all perf…

.....women are seen as subhuman, no one cares what they do. I don't understand how somebody can write this sentence unironically. People in third world countries putting unnecessry restrictions on women's actions is the prime complaint of the western media, and from what i can tell you agree with that complaint (so do I). The narrative you are trying to construct is bizzare.

Sexual Abuse of School Age Children: Evidence from Kenya Abstract Student unrest that sometimes culminates in violent expressions have had a long history in Kenyan schools. Recent evidence, however, points to new expressions of abuse on children. There is concern that an ethos of gendered violence often expressed by sexual subjugation of girls by boys is getting institutionalised within Kenyan Schools. The rise in incidents of reported crimes of a sexual nature and the periodic mass sexual viole…

Abstract The invisibility of men and boys in scholarly discussions of the global sex trade was analyzed through a sample of 166 recent articles published in social science journals. Most failed to acknowledge the existence of male sex workers at all. When male sex workers were discussed, they were assigned considerably more agency than female sex workers, the chief danger ascribed to them was HIV rather than violence, and the question of their sexual orientation was always addressed, whereas fema…

While gender-based violence has recently emerged as a salient topic in the human security community, it has been framed principally with respect to violence against women and girls, particularly sexual violence. In this article, I argue that gender-based violence against men (including sexual violence, forced conscription, and sex-selective massacre) must be recognized as such, condemned, and addressed by civilian protection agencies and proponents of a ‘human security’ agenda in international r…
