lust is by definition sinful desire. It implies dwelling on or longing after the object of lust. You can lust for power and money as well as women. It's not a sin to find a hot woman sexually attractive. It is a sin to fantasize about her and long for her body (if she is not your wife).

Romans 1: 24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were c…

Adam should have laid down his life for his wife, as a type of Christ.

Background: A guy 6’1’’ tall that currently weighs 197LB. Diet: Cutting down overall on the amount I eat. Really need to focus more on what I’m eating though. That's not too bad a weight for your height, especially if it's muscle. People have also made note of me being different and say after moving out I should plan for the future. I just sort of nod when they then talk to me about wife shopping or when I get married. I don’t have any intention on doing so. Sure I have a plan if a woman met an …

I had to do this several months ago. Are there any men on this sub that have successfully been able to quit having pre-marital sex? Yes. How were you able to make a sudden change? Dumped her. It was hard. I had to reach a point of strong conviction, and then wrote my thoughts down in a fake letter. Getting it all out there on paper makes it more real. Should I just break up with her instead? Yes.

Absolutely this. Not to say that the father shouldn't be involved, or that the man shouldn't get to know her family before anything long-term! But I would instantly pass on a girl with those crazy restrictions. I've got other options.

About to sign off for the night--may follow up with you over DM next week Wanted to clarify before I go, I'm talking about good stewardship of the earth. Mine is one of the engineering disciplines where policy and environmental concerns are enormous. The Lord has seen fit to bless me with the gift of teaching. Poorly educated students and poor quality engineering are not acceptable here, and Christian professors are in desperately short supply in academia.

I've thought about this...have certainly seen some bad stuff in relatives and close friends. The first one is a bullseye. Witchcraft is one that needs to be called out. It's stunning how many educated women, even in the church, believe in horoscopes. Also palm reading, crystals, personality quizzes gone too far, and "spiritual" yoga. Rollo calls it chick crack. Pride. A moderately smart lady will get showered with lower admission standards and special scholarships in college. It's even worse if …

I'm not saying those things are OK. I'm also not going to pretend that chicks flicking the bean to Magic Mike is as big a problem as tens of millions of dudes logging onto pornhub every night. Condemning men's pornography usage is low-hanging fruit, and not without reason.

Just addressed most of these in the OYS thread! Been doing more or less OK. A breakup is much easier when you're prepared for it. It's weird, though, I expected to feel guilty about sinning with her after the fact. I don't. It just feels over. I can see God's Providence in the breakup. It took a few tries to go through with it, and sickness and storms kept me out of her bed until I found the courage. TBH, I do not view the breakup itself as a gift. Probably couldn't have gone through with it if …

I do. Had to move further south (USA) and try a few denominations before finding a solid church, but the search bore fruit. Glancing at a church's website and eliminating anything with the terms "contemporary," "seeker-friendly," "inclusive," or "come as you are" with a picture of a guitar will save a lot of visits. What denomination are you?

Interesting question. On the one hand, my first girlfriend was Catholic, and our disagreements on whether children would be raised Protestant or Catholic were irreconcilable. Many such cases. On the other hand, my own mother was raised Catholic, but converted to Baptist when she married my father!
