I live in a smaller metropolitan area, but I usually go out in Melbourne or one of the surrounding areas. I generally go for the indie rock type of look, crossed with a bit of night clubber. So usually I'll wear something like tight-ish black jeans, white shirt with some random pattern or picture underneath a (unbuttoned) collared shirt. I've just always thought those books are a load of bullshit, and picking up any two books on the subject would result in contradictions. I will definitely check these books out. 1	Crosspost from /r/depression: Finding a girlfriend is like a job application. Well I went to see the band Kids in Cults, I'm extremely good friends with the lead singer. My intention was to see if she went to see any band in particular and why. I had no intention of name dropping the lead singer for this band or anything I was just interested to see if she was there to see them. Most of the time I just go out with the intention of having a blast - If I see some girl who looks like she might be receptive to my advances I make the move - a standard play. I don't go on about the latest news and stuff. Usually I'll start it off like "Hey, I saw you from the dance floor - just sitting there do you want to dance or something?" Generally I'm a very happy go lucky type of guy, I've had people describe me as having a Doctor Who type of vibe (hence the perception filter reference). I'm considered to be intimidatingly smart (but that doesn't concern be because bimbo's aren't my cup of tea). I've never been to a shrink to find out if I have depression, I don't loose sleep or any of that stuff; It'd probably be considered as just feeling a little bit blue.
