Absolutely true! Psychologists call it the "fawn trauma response".

Yeah, like the Tinder Swindler spending tons of money of models while stealing from other older and successful women.

As if incels wouldn't be violent towards the women paid to be near them. That "solution" is essentially throwing sacrificial women toward violent men.

☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 "Why did you organize the closet like that? Don't you see how annoying this is for me? Why are you so selfish? I put up with a lot from you; I don't think I'm being unreasonable to expect extra consideration." The "consideration" was anal sex.

Wait, so women may be "promoted" from fuck buddy to girlfriend only if they don't have a history of casual relationships?

Lol, a guy tried this on me last year. I kept thinking that it's weird how he needs so much sympathy and soothing and then he tried flirting just a month or two after my mom died. 🙄 Great timing buddy

Just don't forget to take out a few life insurance policies.

Just to throw a glimmer of hope out there, my mom died a year ago and my dad is still in mourning for her. She had cancer for almost two years before she died and in that time my very stereotypical Boomer dad took up all the cooking, cleaning, and animal care. He arranged all my mom's doctor visits and chemotherapy sessions; he even retired early to be a full time care giver. For all that new and unfamiliar work he was doing, I never heard him complain. He loved her so, so much, and I hope every…

There's a subreddit dedicated to neckbeard nests. It's not for the faint of heart.

It might help you to learn about radical acceptance. There's nothing you can do about the behavior of others; the only person you can control is yourself. If people are draining your energy and making you unhappy, why are you investing in those relationships? Would you prefer relationships that lift your spirits? I used to have friends who pushed me to date some tubby neck beard because,"He's a nice guy--he deserves a girlfriend!" I decided to make new friends, and I am a much happier person now…

Me too! My parents had a lovely marriage and never even fought. I had no idea that some men do this to their wives and daughters.

My best guess is that she's quoting a description of FDS from another subreddit.

I'm here because men in r Nice Guys kept complaining about the bitter, female incest of FDS. Edit: incels 🤦🏻

I went to a secular women's college and IT WAS THE BEST! All of the women there wanted to concentrate on their studies and were very career and achievement focused. Many of my classmates have become doctors (PhD and MD!), and many are renowned in their field. The staff were very committed to women's education and building all of us up rather than competing. Women's colleges are incredibly safe, we had a few thefts on campus but zero violent crime (including rape). The staff were incredibly kind …

The fake moaning and having to position your body at certain angles so he, "Can enjoy the show," is so fucking exhausting and far from pleasurable. Acting is work, it's not sexy or fun. On top of the acting, it's emotionally draining to have to reassure the guy that he's so great in bed and just the most specialist boy who ever specialed. 🙄🤮

I've had issues with flashbacks and ruminating too. What worked for me was to shift my mind's focus when those thoughts crept up on me. Trying visualizing yourself or someone you trust hugging you and saying, "I love you." I listen to podcasts or audiobooks during quiet times to keep my mind occupied. I got a kitten during a difficult time, and she was the single best decision I ever made. It's hard to be sad while a purring kitten wants to love you.

I do not understand the women who try to bully other women into dating self declared assholes. "Well, I think he's handsome. He's really a nice guy--he deserves a girlfriend! Why won't you give him a chance?!" I had to dump that entire friend group because, plot straight line, he grew increasingly bitter that I wouldn't fuck him and wouldn't stop harassing me.

Lol, who wants to bet he built this model assuming no correlation between the variables? I would love to see the data tables behind his model as well as the underlying assumptions; I'm sure they're all super accurate and well thought out!

He also trafficked a woman for a car. I can't believe people look to that show for relationship advice.

This book was very helpful to me after a relationship with a narcissist. This article on reactive abuse may help you make sense of the angry things you said. Dr. Ramani is an incredible resource as well.

My ex was using tactics from r / dead bedrooms because he felt entitled to sex. Without that sense of entitlement, he wouldn't have been so obsessed and desperate. He was also using sex to fluff his fragile ego so he thought me not being in the mood was an attack on his self esteem. Fun hobby: go to r / dead bedrooms and guess which of the top posts are by rapists. There are men there who flat out admit to hurting wives/girlfriends, and they get tons of support.

I was worried about an ex becoming homeless after after a break up too. He couch surfed until he found a new girlfriend. In hindsight, he didn't love me, only what I could do for him.

I wonder how many boys try to kill their sisters? I did some reading on sibling abuse last year, but never found solid statistics about murder or attempted murder.

"I don't think I'm a bad person for wanting to touch my girlfriend." When someone makes you feel bad for having boundaries, they don't have good intentions toward you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
