It's really only "unwise" if you are double first cousins. There is no scientific reason to refrain from procreation with a standard first cousin. Depending on how your family spent/spends time together it could definitely be unwise for psychological and future family relationship reasons.

I dont believe any amount of guilty people being let off is worth just one innocent person spending their life in prison. From that statement you would rather no criminal ever be sent to prison for life if it risked even one person being wrongly convicted. I think your way would destroy our ability to convict and imprison the guilty.

Using a specific example like a falsely convicted dead man that was tortured in prison is a cheap shot trap... but I'll play Tell that to the one innocent man that got sent to prison, raped repeatedly, and eventually brutally murdered. I would but he's dead. Basing a policy that applies to everyone on the exception is a poor way to conduct any system.

It seems he is suggesting that most sexual harrassment/assault/rape cases depend on circumstantial evidence and hearsay, not hard/concrete evidence. Without the woman admitting her lie (in cases that are false) more innocent people (mostly accused men) would be charged, convicted, and imprisoned for crimes they did not commit. Most only come clean after overwhelming evidence to the contrary, much like in this story. False reporting would also drop. Letting hundreds of guilty go free is worth even just one innocent person not getting charged. I don't know about "hundreds" but I could get on board with ~45.
