Quick google shows there are actually 82 men/boys only emergency shelters in Canada, and 161 all-gender emergency shelters. As for shelters only for male survivors of domestic abuse(most women’s and all gender shelters are also emergency shelters, not cause-specific) I found seven without even scrolling to the bottom of the first page of search results. I did not look up all-gender DV-only shelters. Edit to add: in my current Canadian hometown alone, there are 8 different weekly men’s meet-ups f…

The fear isn’t about social status. It’s about ending up assaulted. raped and or even killed. Please stop giving dating advice, your advice is horrifying.

Some men do “without punishment” as well. You know that’s not what the title implies, don’t play stupid.

Not a single point addressed, just a second rape threat. You’re a regular Prince Charming, you know. Ps. You forgot to call me a “feminazi”(after having to be explained that “femcel” is dumb.. by me, haha) this time.

I was jokingly quoting specifically you, as you’re continuing to speak for the sub. Plus, using “we” is a pretty common method of condescension... Please know I mean no offence, but I’m guessing English is not your first language, yeah? I can explain English colloquial language if you want, but we’ll have to move that to a private conversation. Wait, am I a an old “dried raisin” (so.. just a raisin? Did you mean “dried grape”) or a “stupid fucking kid”.? Are you trying to insult my age or my you…

Warning: the word literally is being used a lot, just a heads up that it’s not being used in the modern hyperbolic way, I literally mean “literally”. There are literal laws that are broken with major news outlets lie, and pulitzers have been revoked literally for spreading misinformation. Like you cannot be more factually incorrect about this. “getting roasted” in a comment section literally doesn’t affect you negatively. I fact, youtubers have made entire careers just out of triggering people’s…

I was talking specifically about you. But your “l’Estate c’est moi” take, assuming my opinion of you represents the opinion of an entire subreddit, is very telling about the kind of headspace it takes to believe the things you claim to believe here.

I’m not angry, and so don’t think my post even suggests anger. (I’m literally volunteering at an spca while we talk, it’s impossible to be angry watching old dogs and puppies hang out together). I apologize for being too direct, if you want me to alter my words to be more palatable for sensitive individuals please let me know, I’d be happy to! But.. Could you please respond to my questions if you’re going to continue asking me your own? Again, What watch list? I agree with your analysis of what …

Not saying you’re wrong, but: When the NYT posts a lie, the company and/or individual journalist suffers a consequence, usually fines and/or loss of revenue. When people on YouTube lie, the usually get more views, and there’s, essentially, no consequence for them or for YouTube. In fact, both YouTube and the YouTube end up earning more revenue (and it probably saves the YouTube a lot of time) when they ignore ethical journalism standards.

Moderation is censorship. I can’t post off topic bullshit wherever I want and that’s a good thing. Censorship isn’t something 100% good or 100% bad, it’s just a thing(well, concept). Personally, You’ll find it hard to convince me that banning a sub that encouraged two different mass murders in my backyard is a bad thing, and if a sub starts getting arguably close to being the same content that inspired said mass murderers, I’m going to hope it gets banned regardless of what subreddit it is. And.…

Or consciously rewriting history because, now that there isn’t easily accessed proof to contradict their claims. The only remotely logical reason for this is so they can try and pretend there’s nothing wrong with what was posted there because they never believed there was anything wrong with what was posted there to begin with.

“I saw this” “I saw this” is not an emotional argument. It’s barely an argument, we can both be correct about the posts we’ve seen. We’re also not talking about this sub. How on earth can the problem with a sub not be “about the content” of the sub? What you just described about mods letting extremist beliefs fester (aka become the primary beliefs of the sub) is literally the “content” of the sub. I lived in a city that had two terror attacks committed by MGTOW users. Not “oh they read a few pos…

Doesn’t take long for the “we’re not MGTOW we swear!” mask to fall off, does it? Incel was a term first made by a woman for women.. so what the hell is a femcel?

Funny, last I went on their people were literally calling for the on-air skinning of Johnny Depp’s (mutually abusive, which I cannot believe I have to bother pointing out but I’ll get weeks of death threats if I don’t point out “aMbEr BaD”) ex. Only slightly less popular was the post below it arguing that women should be legally forced to have sex with men who want to have sex with them. Stop trying to rewrite what MGTOW was.

Men receive their requested custody arrangement when they actually request one. The vast, vast majority of custody arrangements are decided on outside of court. Of those that are decided by a judge, the majority of custody rulings are based on one parent having custody requests and the other parent not requesting any form of custody. When no specific custody requests are made(which is pretty rare, tbh), primary custody is usually given to the parent who’s job in the marriage met the most require…

If you’re married to the same woman, why are you constantly seeking out other women? Looks like you’re either not being honest, or you’re the one who’s not content with your life, bud.

There are men’s DV shelters, DV shelters that accept all genders, and homeless shelters, you just don’t want to accept that because it doesn’t suit your narrative. Which is insane, and misandrist.

Help house is a shelter. Shattered men has home care resources (essentially billeting) which is far superior to a shelter. The resource for gay men is still very much active. The Salvation Army shelter is both for men and women (as are the vast majority of shelters in Florida), with fully separate buildings and staff.

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10896-009-9240-9/tables/3 I just googled each of these separately, and they’re all real. I even called shattered men int’l to confirm they have a Florida location. At this point, I’m starting to doubt your intentions here.

-help house Florida -DA shelter homes, Florida chapter -shattered men international -the Florida men’s resource centre -the gay man’s domestic violence centre Are the ones I found, with locations in Florida, in less than five minutes.

This is the exact same language used with Epstein and prince Andrew. The inappropriate phrasing has more to do with the gender of the victims than the genders of the offenders.

You know what’s impressive? Without seeing the argument you had, I can still see exactly how your dumb ass consciously misinterpreted “don’t just assume someone needs you to be a hero and step in” so you could pretend fEmInIsM iS gOnE cRaZy!! Mind your own business =\= don’t help others. Asking if someone wants help =\= don’t help others.

First and foremost, I apologize for upsetting you. Okay, you know exactly who you are, that’s great! My point Some people aren’t that lucky, and some people know exactly who they are but they just don’t look like that to other people, and they deserve the same respect that you think you deserve. I don’t consider gender to be any more important than going by Bill over William, since I treat people the same regardless of gender.

Of someone is named William, and asks you to call them Bill, do you refuse to do so? Because both your example and mine cost you the same amount of trouble. Refer to people how they want to be referred to. Everyone deserves that respect

No, they’re teenagers. This is not a new term. “Children’s books” are targeted at 3-9, year olds(mid-grade is 7-12, YA is 12 and up). These age groups are not an opinion thing, it’s an established part of publishing(though different publishers might say 4-8 instead of 3-7, or other small differences such as that). If OP is aware of the books origin, the title is intentionally misleading.

Your “research” is wrong. I was the target audience when this came out. Hot topic’s Market audience was(is?) 14-19 year olds.

No, it’s a literal character of a girl who hates boys, and grown ups, and school, the sun, and I do believe at one point other girls. The book is absolutely inspired by that rhyme(off topic: which I’ve heard a bunch, but have never heard the rhyme scheme that you’ve put it in, and I really find that fascinating), but the character and it’s specific brand isn’t.
