Was morbidly obese until early 20s and lost half my body weight in a short amount of time. The difference in the way you're treated is astounding. I've found overall, from both genders, you're treated a lot better. Doors are held open, they make eye contact, they're friendlier and will have a conversation and a laugh with you, people are polite, doctors take you seriously. Compared to the laughter and judgmental looks/comments I would get it is much preferable.

This is a really interesting perspective. I'm glad to hear the other side. I (F28) am finding the complete opposite. I just want a nice, normal, average guy who can make me laugh. I'm a really affectionate person and very free with my compliments (which I have noticed guys appreciate and apparently don't get much of which I think is sad). I wouldn't say I'm terrible looking, I'm no supermodel, but I'm not completely ugly, I have a really good job, my own place and I'm down to earth and have a go…

Unfortunately me lol Started out both of us being obsessed with each other and eventually led to just me feeling that way after a few months. I would lend him money when he needed it (a lot), I bought tickets to like 6x concerts for both of us, I was always paying for dinner and dates and movies.
