It absolutely makes sense. Having had sex with one long-term boyfriend doesn't mean she should be expected to put out for every guy after that. Plus, he cheated on her so there's trust issues to overcome. Either OP likes her enough to wait and work that out, or he moves on and man-whores with someone else.
