7	Shut up and let them talk Your advice would have been pretty great if the motivation for being interested was because being a listener is a great quality regardless of gender. You saying "If she's interested she'll talk her ovaries off." kinda gives away that you seem to think it's just a means to an end, and not because you want to be kind to someone else and make them feel like what they're saying is worthwhile listening to.
