In the US it’s less “feminism” and more generational wealth declining. The cost of raising children has increased but salaries haven’t kept up with inflation. By the time women have money for kids they’re often too old. I’m a mid 20’s woman. I’d sort of like a child I’m the next ten years but unless one of us gets a massive raise, partner and I wouldn’t be able to afford it without basically becoming poor.

It's a very nice scent, but its universal appeal also kind of makes it the basic bitch of fragrances

As a short woman can confirm all people over 5’8” look the same height to me.

No, never. I have definitely been pissed / felt threatened if the guy approaches in a way that’s rude or is persistent when I politely decline.

Not sure if you intended to provide a counter argument here, we don’t disagree on anything except there’s no way for men to demand that men work less hours outside the home You actually can and should imo, it’s called political activism, the same (((thing that feminism is))) vehicle women “use” to “demand” that men work more hours inside the home. Would love a system like they have in Sweden where they favor 6 hour workdays for all.

I think OP is attempting to make some kind of MRA argument, which is funny because the problem he’s describing is closely tied to issues feminists have been decrying for ages, just framed differently Homemaking is no longer a choice for most women unless they’re lucky enough to have a wealthy partner. A family can no longer easily be supported on a single income because when women entered the workforce, wages didn’t keep up with inflation because companies began to expect that families be dual i…

Because prostitution is illegal in most developed parts of the world, making it sort of complicated to even book an appointment with a sex worker, and then once you get to that point there isn’t a social standard for paid intimacy, so if I were a John I’d be thinking like, “what do I do? What do I say? How do we escalate from meeting to sex without it being weird? What if she thinks I’m creepy? What if the whole time we’re having sex, this woman is thinking about how gross I am? Will she joke ab…

Husband smacking his wife is more violent than wife just being verbally abusive, because violence (in the way OP is describing & in a legal context) by definition describes something physical taking place. It’s a different story if wife is also hitting her husband back. That said, he is a greater physical threat to her than she is to him (again, supporting OP’s thesis). If someone’s screaming at you you can walk away or divorce them, but if someone’s beating you (especially someone with a biolog…

Uh, if that image is from the post I’m thinking of, it was from a joke post. I think the caption was something like “natural makeup today girls how did I do!!! :-)))” They have a self deprecating sense of humor. A lot of it is joking banter among girls about what it’s like to be ignored/scorned for being an ugly woman.

It’s just that when men are violent they act on it more extremely You mean more violently? Would it be more violent to throw a pen at someone, or a brick? I hadn’t really considered suicide as much as violence against other people, but sure. More men successfully kill themselves. Men are better at being violent towards themselves than women are. In almost any statistical study of general violent crime you look at, male offenders outnumber female ones significantly. Here’s an extremely thorough 2…

If you spend any time on r/femcels you’ll find that their tone and laments are actually fairly divorced from incel rhetoric

In the world of poison, acid, boiling water, knifes and guns this is complete bs. Not really. Remove the word “be able to” from the first sentence you quoted. Think: Why are more men involved in violent crimes than women in general? Why are there no female school shooters? Why aren’t more bank robbers and terrorists women? OP has an excellent point that women are less threatening than men, but their reasoning is reductive. It’s not just that women dont possess a similar capability to commit viol…

Because fine jewelry is boring and in a bid for sales the industry clings to the outdated trope of men buying diamond necklaces for women. Excepting a nice engagement ring, most non-gold-digger women don’t want this shit as much as Kay and Jared’s would like you to believe. There was a time when most women couldn’t just buy themselves whatever they wanted, they were more likely to require a man’s income to get something as expensive as fine jewelry. A status symbol to show her friends how well t…

They’re both populated by insane people who spend way too much of their lives focusing on the opposite sex but I think the difference is that there’s less of a real life risk of women becoming incensed and committing some kind of misandry-driven act of violence. Also, from what I can tell PPF mostly hate MGTOW-type of men moreso than men in general, where as MGTOW seem to hate women more indiscriminately. I wonder what the reasoning for the MGTOW quarantine is though, what was the straw that bro…

LOL they really aren’t. I’ve dated plenty of men; some weren’t absolute angels but none of them ever criticized my (completely average) body or talked about all the other women they’d like to also be banging. You really can do better even if it doesn’t seem obvious to you right now

I am genuinely curious to know what new skills these guys whose careers necessitate ~70 hour work weeks & are mostly over the age of 40 should be learning outside of their jobs in order to move forward if they get replaced by a computer. These dudes aren't going to be like, logging on to codeacademy dot com. Honestly, the market would probably quickly adjust so that UBI isn't functional, but it'd be a nice idea if it could work

Amazon is relevant to the discussion here because it’s their soon-to-be self-driven trucks that will theoretically cause a massive amount of unemployment in the US. And FWIW, most of those truckers are white men. That’s part of why Yang is so set on UBI; to ease the fall as thousands of Americans have the jobs they’ve worked most of their life replaced by tech or outsourced.

That’s because gay men are still men and are therefore as a demographic more outgoing / comfortable with puttin’ tha moves on a guy than women are

That’s anxiety. You can take medication for it (xanax, klonopin etc) but then you really, really shouldn’t drink at the same time, so it might not be good for partying scenarios. You might also practice some other anxiety management strategies like deep breathing, meditation etc. i know that sounds hokey but it’s amazing how much you can change your body’s physiological responses with focus and practice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
