It copies posts from random subreddits and slightly alters titles to evade detection. Then once the account is old enough and has enough karma, it starts spamming. Spammers have been using this technique for a decade or longer. I can't link to other posts to show you examples directly, but look at their post in the Psychosis sub and then search for "felt tips" and you'll see the original.
