I think after 90 days of sobriety it's a good idea to sit back and objectively look at the 12 step program and how it works for you. 12 steps isn't for everyone. In fact, the long term recovery rate of individuals is really not that good. Some people get hung up on the higher power concept and depending on their sponsor it can be very difficult to get someone through the reeds on it. Personally my higher power is my dog. I hate the stigma. Hopefully that attracts other addicts to the sober life. If anyone is reading this and needs to hear it: Theres lots of ways to get sober!
