Something I noticed back in the early 90's, is that when actors' achieved a level success that they became known for their masculinity with that success, they would often be pushed in to playing an emasculating role. Eg; Sylvester Stallone with 'Stop or my mums gonna shoot', or Arnold Schwarzenegger with 'Twins' along with 'Kindergarten Cop', Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson with 'Tooth Fairy', etc.. Women do rote utilization. This is something that's long been observed in manufacturing. We put females in to those repetitive tasks as generally, females will continue with a task despite the process being faulty; 'it's how they showed me to do it'. This gives us consistency and reliability of the process. Males will try to fix and improve the problem leading to inconsistent quality control. Males are then preferred in the technical roles (technician, engineer, etc..).
