Preselection is a mechanism based on social proofing. Best non dating example I use is a CV/Resumé reference. If you are going for job and you can get a recommendation from Richard Branson, that will nearly always get you the job on its own. (Whether your skills are worthy or not) Social proofing basically gives you the benefit of the doubt i.e. positive preselection. E.g. hanging out with a group of attractive guys has shown to make you rank higher in attrctiveness than if you were only hanging…

Yup. Let her dig a whole as deep and as elaborate as possible, then get your attorney to submit the dashcam footage and let them tear apart her story.

Some stories or details from stories seem to always crop up which lead to the same eventuality. They are some of the ways that AWALT manifest. There may be extraordinary circumstances, but a lot of what OP says about his girl's behaviour is textbook. Hence, the generalised answers.

Shoutout to the Europeans with no 24 hour gyms and with them being packed from open till close. No large supermarkets open early/late either. Makes it more insentivising to sleep in when you cant access most things

Ive had people often telling me im getting too big, or asking why I have to get bigger as if it's 10 times worse than being fat. The positive attention I get for my physique says otherwise. At a certain point when women just have to touch you 'subtly', you realise most people saying you are getting too big just dont like how your success reflects on their stagnation or regression.

Im glad you are making good changes but I dont think that last point has any evidence at all. Everyone in this sub attempting to make significant changes should read The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. It is a research driven book that lays out in practical terms how people can change their habits or create new ones. It also explains the neuroscience behind why people dont. Changing bad habits or creating good ones is damn difficult, especially if you aren't aware of the process behind it. Mos…

This. Living together for long enough is even worse than doing it while married. You still dont get any of the tax benefits but you'll still have to pay out your ass if there's a split if she sues for child support(also worth remembering that she can almost always just take the kids and leave but in some circumstances, the father can be charged with kidnapping for doing the same. Implication of the Duluth model attitudes). Try find a girl thats already born into money. Or a girl that was poor-is…

Dont forget the post-nup. Make sure that prenup always stays up to date and legally valid. Cant have a judge disregard it if you get it refreshed every year.

I get your point, and I definitely agree with you for the most part. I just didnt think it was necessary to discredit the ideas validity. For the people that are using it as an excuse, they shouldnt be allowed to hide behind their introversion and take advantage of that term. But for the people that are a bit further along in their progress or who arent struggling as much in that same way, the fact that there is validity in relation to understanding personality means they have a potential resour…

I agree with you. My comment was more directed at the OP who was conflating being introverted to being autistic and framing someones higher base level of introversion as negative. There are pros and cons to each as you pointed out. It is important to be able to be comfortable in both domains, but that doesnt mean everyone will end up with a 1:1 ratio of introversion to extraversion. Also, he likened this to star signs, when in reality its a pretty solid concept in psychology. He was far too redu…

Right, and this really became aparent to me when Id hear stories in passing about people who needed to be around their housemates or friends every waking moment. They cant be in silence with their own thoughts. Its something they absolutely need to learn to correct but their preference will always be to have people around them. Same goes for introverts. Of course you need to be comfortable in both, but to say that people are only highly introverted or highly extroverted out of pathology is crazy…

I agree he shouldnt argue with her about it. She knows its a joke and she has voiced that she disapproves of the joke. If she expects an apology its because she feels that he is at fault to a certain degree. Again, she knows its a joke. She took offence. If she decides to not see him again, thats completely fine. But he has just as much right to not have to defend himself and apologise. He should ignore it or agree and amplify. It might be good for her to understand that just because she feels w…

The apology being needed is where some might take particular issue. He made a clear joke and she took offence. That's not on him.
