You're definitely right about the quality of the average Tinder guy's profile. With the height thing, you're unfortunately excluded from dating the vast majority of girls taller than you but there is a pretty sizable chunk of short girls that don't mind as much. I think something every guy should do is make a tinder account posing as a female and see how you'd go about selecting guys. You get so many messages that naturally the first thing you do is filter by looks given that is the main thing you can initially judge from a tinder profile. Due to the huge selection of men available, this means you can immediately filter out anybody at or below the level of your own looks, and from there you try to filter by personality. This is a fundamentally broken sy…

It sounds like you have an unfalsifiable belief and there isn't anything that could convince you. The fact that you can't think of any relevant piece of context that could falsify your belief proves that. You're going to continue struggling with dating until you reevaluate how you see the world

Because when you meet somebody in real life you get a fair shot at demonstrating your value which is much harder to do in OLD where women will filter first by looks. You can also test your chemistry irl. If you walk through the streets you don't see a bunch of women with way more attractive men than them because most people meet irl Also I don't think a bar is a great place to pick up anyway

There are an awful lot of white single men Ultimately you need to get to a point where you genuinely love and respect yourself to be ready for dating

The combination of traits I listed.

Yeah it's far from a dealbreaker to have a big nose even if it isn't ideal. Some girls don't really mind it.

I don't need to provide every tiny bit of context if the point stands regardless of the additional context. You might be unironically autistic if you think random details like my gf being fairly hippie or myself enjoying video games changes anything I said. I challenge you to ask me a question that would reveal some critical context I've left out

Being 6ft and white isn't particularly unique. I have a short half Asian friend that is very shy and he is very successful with women despite not even approaching them. He's also average looking. Again, the important aspect is personality and being at least average looking. What traits do you think you have that a reasonable person would find desirable? Do you love yourself and respect yourself? Would you want to be friends with yourself? I think these are the important questions to be asking

I agree to an extent, especially in the case of hookups. Realistically, due to the gender imbalance on OLD, women that are a 3 will only accept guys that are 5+, women that are 5 will only accept guys that are 7+, etc. This is genuinely a real issue that I can empathize with. However, if you're on a more serious dating platform then your chances are a bit better if you have a strong personality. If you're meeting women IRL via classes, hobbies, etc then your chances are way better and in these c…

Yeah, you have to be at least ok looking (i.e. 5+/10). That isn't a super high bar though

Personality is a pretty big deal and encompasses an awful lot. Assuming I was single, as long as a girl is alright looking and is my type, personality is basically the only thing that would matter to me. I assume women (or at least the kinds of women you'd want to date) function similarly

But it's not luck. It's just a matter of being confident and having positive traits that your ideal gf would find attractive. Here is a picture to illustrate my point: https://imgur.com/ie6HEez

Are you referring to my story or OP lol? If you're referring to my story, what do you think I'm leaving out? Obviously I'm not going to express every minute detail of my relationship to respond to a post.

There's an approximately equal distribution of shit men and shit women. The goal is to raise your own value so that you can find somebody with similar value and similar traits. People like OP will end up with the gold diggers because he's primarily only working on the parts of him that attract women like that

How am I lucky lol? This wasn't a one off, I've been in multiple relationships and it isn't too hard for me to date. You can't just excuse your failures as being "not lucky". I'm dating her because I provide what others cannot. She likes me for my personality which I've invested effort into developing.

You have a very bleak outlook on dating. I'm a solid 5/10, a bit overweight, big nose, not wealthy, etc. I'm dating an amazing girl that is intelligent, emotionally intelligent, attractive, educated, funny, good at communicating, etc. I can do this because I'm intelligent, emotionally intelligent, funny, educated, good at communicating, etc. I didn't need any of the three things you mentioned to end up in my relationship other than hard work (although not in the way you describe it). I offer som…
