"You're the one who has the burden of dealing with the mess." That is a solid insight.

Can confirm! I was in an abusive relationship for 4+ years. Finally got out last year. Yelling, brow-beating, throwing stuff (including glass items), straight up swung at me a few times, progressively isolate me from my family, church family, and other healthy influences in my life. Etc, etc 0/10, would not recommend doing THAT again!

Don't do it. It will not work out well. Anybody here who it has PERSONALLY work out well for?

Good points. When I went through it initially I did look at it in a "checklist" sort of way. Going back through the article, using it to vet better makes more sense. Looks like I've got a little soul-searching and some work to do. I appreciate the reply

I hate to be disparaging, I really do! But I just took a peak at that checklist for what makes a good wife, and you described a unicorn. Women like that 100% do not exist.

I have no idea. That's probably part of the reason I'm not married. What DO women want from men that they can't get or do for themselves?

As far as I'm concerned, there's only three things women bring (or could possibly bring) to the table: 1) Sex, 2) children, and 3) domestic tranquility And honestly, those all seem pretty tenuous at best. They just don't make 'em like they use to

Hanlon's Razor: Do not attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity. I don't think "they" have a direct agenda to emasculate western men, I think it's just something that's happening as a byproduct of other things. Sort of like how all machines give off heat as a byproduct even if they're not heaters. One part of the conversation should always be the inverse relationship between BMI and testosterone levels. Obesity has been on the rise in the west for 50yrs. Stay inquisitive guys!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
