Yeah, I brought physical stuff into it, misstep there. You're right, it is a classic case. I just don't see where gender got involved. The variable here wouldn't be is it a he or a she, but how does that specific person usually react to situations like this? I can very easily see the same scenario being played out if all parties were men. Except the purse. Or maybe the purse is still there, I won't judge that.

Eh, I can see your point, but I feel like something's being read into it, instead of what happened. I feel like anyone threatened with truth is going to grasp at unwarranted help and would behave the same way. If it was a man who couldn't successfully physically defend himself either, I could see him behaving the exact same way.

Saw that. Was wondering about the source of this pic. Not trying to pick a fight, just wanted to know if there was a story along with the pic, or if it was just a facebook post someone just threw up. They have their reasons, you just don't consider them important or don't understand them. My parents circumcised me because that's the norm here, it's accepted by everyone, even the "victims." I've never even heard of a friend being uncut. If circumcised men don't mind, what's it to you? If you have a problem with it, don't do it to your kids.

As it should be. They can't and shouldn't make those kinds of decisions, those are made by parents, who slowly allow them more rights and freedom as they grow and start gaining enough wisdom to deal with the world around them. Though actually, depending on the state, kids can get tattoos at a certain age with parents consent if they aren't getting some batshit crazy stuff. I know minors can get body piercings with permission here, not sure about tattoos.

Sure, a child has the right to not be beaten or starved or chained to a wall, but parents are free to make decisions for their child as they deem best for them and their family, even arbitrary ones. The issue is infant or childhood circumcision for non-medical reasons. This takes away a child's right to decide what they want to do with their own body. A child's rights belong to the parent, not the child. Otherwise, we'd see 8 year olds with facial tattoos everywhere.
