Yes, for our kids to look at if and when they want. Plus it wasn’t worth the hours to go through the 30,000 pics I have on my phone.

I thought she might actually shoot me, and I removed her pistol from the home. If she could go back and redo it, she’d probably try and claim self defense. Absolute narcissistic psychopath of a woman and mother

Is a Guardian ad litem attached to the case? File a motion to appoint one Edit: use the pics/vid to file for a drug test as well

I would call your lawyer, and see if they advise CPS. Mine says hell no, it’ll make the situation worse. File for a Guardian ad litem, motion to modify, and an emergency injunction

Listen to everyone here saying the same thing. Do not leave the house. Put a camera in your room, figure out how to passively record audio via your phone when you two are in the home together. My ex tried to lie multiple times when I was in the home with her to see the kids but I had recorded audio that proved she was lying. Get a good fucking lawyer, yesterday. Edit: NEVER fight in front of the kids. Prioritize them now, and when she has to leave your home. They’ll respond to the difference whe…

This. Kids seem to prefer the structure in my experience. Also, build in time to be silly. We do it post-bath before getting ready for bed. Structure and fun > chaos and stress

Just let everyone figure out on their own that she’s a liar. Has worked out well for me

At least you only wasted a night on that. I wasted two months

Yeah it’s always as simple as “always be the person you wanted to be”. My experience is similar to yours. Glad you’re enjoying it

It’s difficult to have a relationship where you expect equal love and effort and don’t receive it. With children, they can never equal the love you have as a parent, nor should they be expected to. It’s easy to carry that weight and pour into them. The only thing left once we’re gone is their memory of us anyways.

Happened to me countless times, to the point where I just bottled up everything instead of voicing it.

So that describes my last one. I didn’t see it as control of them, more abandonment and ending it so I control the hurt I felt, instead of communicating how I was feeling in the relationship. My marriage was more complicated, and I believe my Ex is very narcissistic and controlling, but it was one sided to the point I realized I’d rather do all I was doing on my own. Not saying it was the best decision for everyone, but one thing I’ve noticed and could not do without now is the autonomy in my ti…

I did, but I also think it was like you stated, somewhat conditional. If they do or are X, Y, Z, so am I. I’ve recognized that, and am trying to not be that way in future relationships. With my kids, I know it’s not equal, they can never love me the way I love them, and I’m good with that. With a partner though, I need to learn to love better, not conditionally. And that may not work out for me and I may not let someone get that close, but I’ll try if and when that person comes along.

It won’t be uncontested. Let your lawyer do the negotiating, don’t try and compromise with her on your own (I did, wish I didn’t). It’s going to suck for a long time but it will get better.

There are far worse things. Work on yourself, find stuff you enjoy. Don’t be too quick to jump back into something with someone else
