Did you know fish can breathe under water and that birds can fly in the air?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/25 10:28 PM

Yup. An above average woman past the prime child bearing years brings nothing to the table to a man that is above average or much better than average who is still in child bearing years (due to men not slowing down). There’s an imbalance of what everyone adds to a relationship. Some people are fine with that, most are not.

I couldn’t give you an exact number, but I come across this a lot when I talk to people. A frustrating amount of men in their 30s I know can’t get dates or even matches on dating apps. A frustrating amount of women in their 30s I meet complain about the quality of single men. I don’t want to blame women blanketly, but it does seem like they’re the ones being too picky here.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 10:45 PM

This is in LA. People are bad with money. There are plenty of women making $60k a year, living in a beat up apartment, and going to a fancy gym. A lot of them are pretty too.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 09:35 PM

It used to happen more. We’re constantly told now to never ask out someone at work.

I agree with your first sentence, which is why I think if their date went well, something more is needed. Doesn’t mean you have to 69 him, but if everybody is at least an adult and not a religious prude, at least a kiss or something. Not because the man is owed anything for paying but because like you said, if there was separate checks that should be an indicator of no more dates together. If the date went well and you’re letting the man pay, then some escalation should happen, otherwise you’re …

I know it’s a meme, but I really think it’s true. Women have very high expectations in every aspect. Men can fall in love with the cute cashier at McDonalds.

Maybe a few exceptions, but yeah, women in their 40s are obviously mature… Statistically speaking, they cannot have kids without medical assistance. True for men and women in their 40s: (again statistically speaking) they are closer to death than they are to birth, are past their physical prime, are past their athletic prime, are too late to be able to make any huge career shifts, and should be settled down. I’m not saying they should be put in a retirement home, but if they’re not mature, what …

I say this with the utmost respect. Half of those men are among the top 10% of society in terms of looks. If you think only 5 of them are attractive then you are proving this post. You’re essentially saying anybody below an 8 is unattractive. If you are a 9 or a 10 then I’ll accept your opinion, but if not, proof of unrealistic female standards.

Woah, not that all the men would stop traffic, and I realize the male photos are from dating apps while the women are just verification selfies, but that’s a huge gap in talent. I counted at most 8 women I could maybe be attracted to after a night of drinking.

I go to a high end gym and live in a decent part of town, so I come across a lot of good looking women in their late 30s. The vast majority who haven’t gotten married at that point probably aren’t going to but are still dating a lot while whining about the quality of men. They’re 8s physically and expect a 9 or 10 man with a good career, not realizing that they’re not bringing anything to the table in that situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 06:15 PM

Yeah I know it was a religious thing part of the relief society but they also did similar stuff to the scouts. I didn’t have a sister so idk much more about it than that. The BSA troops were open to everybody but we were probably 80% LDS and did prayers at the beginning.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 03:47 AM

This is accurate. I was an assistant scoutmaster for the BSA troop affiliated with my local stake. We never had girl scouts, girls were in the beehives. It looks like that’s been canceled too. Not sure what they replaced it with.

No you.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/25 05:12 PM

Any quota that benefits one group over another in a zero sum setting by definition harms another group.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/25 04:55 PM

Yes. If “equal footing” is applied for genders and not individuals, it’s a hand out. Think about sports brackets, two teams on one side of the bracket might be the best, but it doesn’t matter, only one of them can go against the best team on the other side of the bracket in the finals. That’s basically what’s happening. Two sides are given equal footing even if that means individuals are being disadvantaged.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/25 04:53 PM

What does the word equality mean to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/25 04:51 PM

What is wrong with you?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/25 04:50 PM

That’s fine, but why can’t boys join Girl Scouts? Surely there is at least one kid you knew growing up who would want to join the brownies.

Because there are several instagram pages with million plus subscribers that shame men for doing this at the gym.

If it makes you feel better, I donated and voted for Harris and felt I did my job but now I have no sadness about her loss. it’s time for the Democratic party to collapse on itself. It’s become the party of the elites with its holier than thou attitude. Neither party captures my beliefs anymore but at least when people were complaining about their issues like not being able to afford food/rent and all the crime affecting them, the GOP said “your problems are real and we hear you”. The DNC said “…

I’ve noticed this too. I do the job that girl thought you did. I think it matters in the city. It was a lot more impressive in Richmond, VA than it is in Los Angeles, CA where the lawyers are some of the poorest people who can still afford to live in decent neighborhoods. People always want more and more. Being a lawyer isn’t enough for them anymore. Now they want a real estate mogul or someone their age who is only temporarily poor. A lawyer can’t buy a Lamborghini but that guy her age might on…

people stopped doing things like that with the advent of dating apps and social media. you used to get more younger people going out and doing things for the sake of being in the dating pool and making friends. these groups are all full of much older and married people now.

this might work for people in their 40s but not as much for late 20s or early 30s

What I said above is the SCOTUS test for allowing discrimination based on a protected class.

If they previously discriminated against women and kept them behind or women were being kept back from going to college, sure why not? I think commenters here don’t realize just how bad the groping problem in India and Japan is.

Institutional discrimination to correct a past or current problem/injustice is fine, like how groping in India and Japan has gotten out of hand. The west doesn’t really have this issue so it wouldn’t be right here.

Nobody would consider winning a war hammer 40k tournament to be talented though. i have no interest in being a chemist but if you told me you won the yearly prize in chemistry i’d consider that hot.

This is just so wrong. All the hot girls didn’t move out. I agree a lot of hot girls in LA and Miami, but there are plenty of medium sized cities with beautiful people. Richmond VA and Denver CO come to mind. Both had some of the most beautiful people I’ve seen. That being said Washington DC is a big city and had the ugliest women both physically and personality.
