I just read the article you linked and don't understand the logic. Even if they were married, I don't see why he would have to pay her. What's the money for? He already gave her enough that she doesn't need to work ever again. What's the justification?

Absolutely not. It's closer to the opposite in my experience with women being more studious and likely to do things properly where men (including myself) are more risk taking by doing something else for better or worse. That's said, there could be a lot of cultural bias. I'm French and my experience could be very different elsewhere.

Holly crap. I just saw them over analyzing some decent first message on a dating website into the worst interpretation possible. Anybody who feels down today, check that subreddit and realise how well you are doing compared to them.
