So why don't you join groups that allow you to challenge your preconceived notions instead of hitting up echo chambers? Let me get this through to you. The law does not agree with you. Society doesn't agree with you. You are not correct. It isn't that everyone is against you, unlike what TRP is selling you. It is a method that cults utilise in order to indoctrinate people. You are being played with by them. Run away and be your own person. Get a great education. Listen to the views of others. Th…

I'm saying it is wrong to use lethal force unless facing a potentially lethal threat. A slap is not sufficient. Legally, ethically, morally wrong. A slap is not a lethal threat. Step back. You are being brainwashed by TRP. I'm being completely serious.

Yeah, but it prevents those violent men (people) from using lethal force.

Oh, but if you had an education you would realise that the law is not to protect women; men are more likely to be a victim of assault. Again, go get an education! It will expand your critical thinking and reasoning. Nothing is black and white. No, TRP is not a club that will make you a better person. You need to be around real, normal people. Join a group sport. You will not find self improvement in that echo chamber. Seriously, PM me if you need someone to talk to. At the very least, I can try …

Everyone is obliged to know their own strength, which is why we have laws re: proportionality. Professional fighters are held to a higher standard, but Joe Citizen is still expected to show restraint. As is he.

You won't. Trust me, you will mature and my goodness will you cringe when you think back. If you don't mature, that is a personal failure on your behalf, and evidence of a failure to educate yourself. It is not a noble thing to stunt personal/educational growth no matter what TRP is trying to sell you. Run from them as fast as possible. Go outside and join some team sports. Right Now. Go join a car club. Whatever groups interest you, as many as possible. DO IT NOW. If you need someone to talk to…

Okay cool. So I get to kill men who grab me with ill intentions? I am defending myself! /s Thanks, but I prefer civilisation. Go back to the red pill and grow up. You are so young, which explains your immature views. FYI. This would be a legal nightmare. It would be abused by anyone who wanted to kill another person...just claim they hit you, which permits you to shoot them. Christ, I really hope you do not represent the majority of posters here. If so, I give up on trying to advance human right…

I had a quick look for you, and for some other countries. After only a very quick look, I have found that many countries do not report the gender of the offenders. My personal opinion is that they found the distinction to be irrelevant and unhelpful.... Because I believe that it is a gender irrelevant crime. Without a doubt, you should not blindly believe anything.

Aaaaaaand another insult. I'm going to call out on people when i see them resort to insults. It adds nothing to the discussion and harms your cause. The promotion of human rights is NOT best served through derogatory remarks and nasty insults.

See, attacking the intelligence of a poster adds nothing to the discussion. You are pushing people away from the movement every time you are hostile.

It is pointless arguing with these people. Facts are irrelevant. Child abuse is a gender irrelevant crime, but they just want to hate on women.

Your original post was saying that fathers should be able to take the child out of the custody of their mother on only his say so.... We should at least try education. Again, not even so much about the mechanics of sex, although that is important. Childbirth doesn't have to be taught in such a way as to scare people. You absolutely cannot make sweeping comments about counselling for men. And, I'm really interested in relationship education. Sex ed is a part of that, but have focus on sexual dyna…

The right is to have a relationship. The child can still do that if there is infrequent contact. Infrequent contact is not neglect in of itself. Moral principles, but also codified enforceable laws. Laws can be moral as well as legal. Educate them before they are parents : ) educate them on birth control and sexual health, and how to navigate sexual relationships. We are taught the mechanics of sex, but not so much about anything else. Relationship counselling should be free to all people, singl…

On that study only, for those geographic demographics only, and again, it is only a majority in the sense that in that study, slightly more did. It is by no means overwhelmingly women who are offending. Majority it is not. It does not appear to be a gendered issue. Saying that it is only distracts you from getting to the root of the problem, and therefore finding solutions. Another user posted a different report that went the other way in relation to child homicides. It also suggests that on tho…

Uh, so people cannot be proactive and call for assistance until they are beaten to within an inch of their life? I also think that threats and threatening behaviour are abhorrent regardless of gender. I would rather a proactive approach to requesting law enforcement assistance, then wait for serious harm. But it still doesn't say that no abuse occurred. I don't necessarily think more police are the answer. More education may help, to discourage DV by educating both genders about what DV is, and …

Maybe you broke even because you used the money properly and actually put it towards their care? Most is a generalisation. You don't know why they do it, which is why I qualified my comment as being an opinion only. I certainly observed it in my placements. Yeah, I also went into homes that were at capacity. Sharing beds does happen! And it sounds like you think that there is a significant amount of abuse in foster homes...so maybe a significant amount do it to gain access to children? I still w…

Again, you are generalising the whole system based on your opinions. And you haven't addressed the fact that in my situation, testimony was not required. Unrealistic because there just aren't enough services or homes for foster kids? My argument is that we need more funding in this area of the legal system so that all victims get a right to have their case heard, regardless of the severity of the alleged abuse. I am arguing that because of funding constraints, some people miss out. I couldn't ca…

Very few, sounds like you are changing tack. Before you said there were none. Thank you for qualifying your experience as being your experience only. Generalisations are unhelpful and don't support your case. To administer justice, we need to listen and take seriously all alleged victims, but that would require much more funding to all services and courts.

Human rights are legal statutes when they are codified as such. They are not only moral statutes (thankfully!) So, mediation works for both parents! Better than the courts! (Exceptions aside) It is morally abhorrent to the child; on a person level (warning, subjective opinion!) I don't care about the rights of the mother, only those of the child in these situations. I'm protecting the child's rights. For the record, the child has the same right re: its father. The courts agree that the rights of…

Law enforcement was there when I was being beaten (for the last time), but he was armed and I was at risk of being killed if they shot him. They didn't need my testimony for physical abuse or attempted murder. Severe malnutrition is easy to spot, and easy to prove. And the fact that he didn't seek treatment, my testimony is not needed. The fact that we were starved almost to death and were not given treatment by him is enough. Sexual abuse leaves physical evidence too. How many kids under 10 hav…

I am flattered that you want to respond to all my posts...? Prisons mean that at least for a short time, victims are less available. What I am trying to say though is that the current deterrents (jail, social condemnation) aren't enough. Frivolous, yeah, in your opinion, perhaps. You are very fond of sweeping statements! Look, if you think it is some vast conspiracy against men, that is fine. But unless you personally were in the same room and watching when the alleged DV occurred, then you cann…

Yeah, you can't say that 80% aren't abusers. You just don't know for sure. You can only say that 80% are accused, and you haven't even given a reference for that so I will disregard that until I see proof. Even with proof, it only shows that 80% were accused, it doesn't say that they are lying. I agree it is impossible to investigate all...I don't agree that this is fair. So, are you saying that there are no support services for men at all then? I don't believe that at all. If I even find one service, I disprove your sweeping statements. You can say whatever you want about your supposed role, I don't believe a word of it and there is no way for you to verify it without exposing your identity. I believe facts that can be proven, not your unsubstantiated, unverifiable statements about your self proclaimed role in the system.

No, he strips them of a fundamental human right. That it legally what he would be doing. His rights are not more important than the child's. If either parent does this they breach a human right possessed by the child. The exception is where contact would lead to harm. Please note that there is a difference between some contact and no contact. Our mediation system does nothing of the kind. Feedback surveys appear quite positive for men and women. I've seen the raw data. You cannot monitor group h…

I think we can agree that the system fails everyone perhaps. I create redpillers eh? Well, if you want to turn it around, it is people like you that create feminists. I checked the figures in that data, they are close to parity, much like the child homicide data. Again, it doesn't appear to be a gendered issue. Nice insult. I'm trying to be professional here. I'm here to learn, not to blindly follow sweeping statements. I don't think that it is a gendered issue any more than child homicides are. Majority it is not.

I don't think you read that page properly. It does not support your proposition. And even if it did (it doesn't) it is a disreputable study that is not well based. Nice to jump to conclusions about her just wanting an alpha. Or maybe, it is not uncommon that mentally ill people frequently put themselves in dangerous positions, as is the case you brought up. Psychiatry supports my assumption, nothing supports yours. I'd bet that she either has a diagnosed or undiagnosed condition and I know I would win that bet. Ignoring the courts, law enforcement, her friends and her family is only supporting my theory. These are not the actions of a rational person. I'm …

Maybe she is mentally I'll? Sure sounds like it. Doesn't sound like a bad thing that she should be separated from him by law honestly. We have laws to protect the mentally ill from themselves for a reason. DV continues because to few cases are prosecuted and there is no real deterrent for either gender. It also continues because people don't know how to leave, or are afraid to. My father stalked me after I was removed from his care. I can absolutely tell you that people stay in bad relationships…

And we should not ignore the vast data that suggests that group homes are highly toxic for children. There is a reason they have been almost wiped out as a means of raising children. Orphans are different to children of separated parents. The non-orphans still have both patents alive, and to have a father strip them of a human right is not conducive to upholding the child's best interest. You can argue all you like that under good circumstances group homes are better. But it doesn't make it true…

The fathers are more likely to kill their child than a male associate according to that data (31% vs 23%). And not quite parity on the statistical level, there is as light bias towards fathers killing their offspring with 229 more deaths attributed to fathers. Small difference though. At solely the parental level, the data in this report suggests that this is not a gendered issue (at least in that demography) in relation to perpetrators.

The link you provided does not support your proposition at all...it referred to step parents for one, and only briefly mentioned step fathers. I don't know why you are trying to denigrate step parents exactly? Furthermore, that study has serious critics and criticisms, as noted in your link. Finally, it is bad to attribute this to being the woman's fault. We don't know why the male acquaintances murdered the child, we don't know if they were even boyfriends of the women. That is pure speculation…

I can see you are trying to think outside the box for solutions, but what about single mothers that are good parents? Or widowed women? Or women that have to leave violent partners? Or women who have husbands in the armed forces (father is deployed)? What about couples that live together on paper but the husband spends a lot of time outside the home or overseas? How does one determine what the exceptions are? There would be too many exceptions. A law needs to be somewhat steadfast in order to wo…

I'm open to having my view changed, but your sources are biased and have no actual data. There are no actual statistics that are reliable. I am diligent, and rely on primary sources from reputatable sources that are peer reviewed. None of which supports your views. Neither men or women are given the benefit of the doubt. The level playing field is there. If the child's best interest is with the father, he gets primary custody. The reverse is true too. Neither the mother nor the father's rights s…

I checked your second link, and there are still no primary sources. You made the initial statement that single mother families are the worst environment, it is your responsibility to back it up with reliable sources. You are getting some bad information. Anyone can abuse the courts/system, it isn't gender specific. Procedural abuse is a tactic used by crap people of both genders. It isn't only available to women. The best interest of the child should absolutely be default. This is supported by b…

According to that report, most of the offenders are male and most of the murdered children are male. There seems to be a bias towards males killing male children. 54% were killed by fathers and male acquaintances, 30% were killed by mothers (no data on female acquaintances), with 81% of children who weren't killed by either parent being killed by a male. Not making any comments in the reliability of this study, just commenting on its findings.

Yeah, I checked that link. No mention on actual statistics as to success rates for single father households other than wishy washy statements with no references. In fact, not one of those statistics is backed up by links to the findings. Not. One. Link to primary sources only, otherwise they can write whatever they want and it could all be garbage. Yep. That and how so many other people around me were treated. My friend was gang raped. Never reported it because she wasn't believed by her own friends. Another friend was molested, and her abuser also saw no jail time. Priests have been protected like crazy by the churches too. Very few of them will see jail time. Their victims (the acknowledged ones) were bought off. Abuse in group homes has definitely gone largely unpunished. I can go on. Re: my father. The social services took it very seri…

And where do the babies and children go? I'll tell you what is worse than single mother homes...group homes and orphanages. I doubt you have ever spent time in one, I'm sure your statistics are unreliable. No way are single mother households worse. Besides, children have a right to be involved with their parents. If a father denies a child the right to live with its mother, he is taking rights from the child. And what about divorces? The child just goes into state care eh? Coz I'll tell you righ…

It is unjustifiable for men to hit women but they do it anyways.. It is unjustifiable for people to hit other people but they do it anyways.. Even though violence against women and children by men is socially unacceptable, it occurs. That may suggest that abusive men don't care about social rules or that women and children are not receiving justice so perpetrators correctly determine that the odds of not being punished are in their favour. This may be the same for violence committed by women. Me…

I've not told my story before, so it must have been another user. Sad to think someone else went through the same thing. Ultimately, the blame rests with my father and the other abusers. The legal system perpetuated/s the problem, but the abusers are the real issue. My case never even made it to court, other than a procedural matter of removing from his custody. Not one incident ever lead to charges being laid. He is free to abuse whomever he can access.

Not just women, everyone. People seem to think that rape is such a load of shit and that rape laws are onerous on the (mostly) men who are accused. Absolute bullshit. Rape charges almost never get convictions, if they even make it to a hearing, if they even get reported. I've not told anyone about my experiences, and no one would expect it happened.
