Right. They would need to prove you uploaded them. Your defense would either be: 1.) You didn't upload them, or 2.) you had their permission. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affirmative_defense

or just a simple text message. "You know that tape is just for us, haha?" "Of course, honey." That constitutes a contract in court. Even so, I'm struggling to see why the burden wouldn't be on the uploader to prove their partner consented. I imagine most couples who make sex tapes don't want to end up on the internet, so why shouldn't that be the default stance?

I think you're overstating the importance of the supreme court. The march of history is steady toward progressivism. Even if the court becomes conservative in four years, justices will age and it will swing back within your lifetime. Also, neither president will nominate liberal justices anyway. I'm also a liberal, and the establishment left jumped that shark a decade ago. Clinton is just as much of an authoritarian as Trump. The difference is whether you want to stomach yes-means-yes or you wan…

Is Hillary really that much better than Trump that you wouldn't consider voting for Jill Stein or another third party candidate?

What if I only agree to film on the condition that one person is allowed to view the content. That seems like a contract I should be able to enforce. Lots of situations call for Non-Disclosure Agreements. Why would this be different? Do you think it is likely that a partner making a sex tape only wants the SO to be able to view it?

when anybody commits sexual assault on a minor it is highly unlikely to involve jumping a stranger on a dark night on an unlit path. But anyway if your first assumption wasn't that he had nefarious motives then we agree.

I agree that you're better than the busybodies who would have called the police. I don't consider what you did you be white-knighting. There's no reason to be defensive. We are having a dispassionate discussion. I maintain that you should have assumed it was an innocent situation from the beginning. Would you have suspected malice if it was a black woman riding slowly behind her?

The main issue is there is no place for frustrated men to vent where they will be listened to, so they come here. MensRants exists, but nobody uses it.

I'm saying I wouldn't make much of it in either case, but if I was going to be a white-knight it would make more sense to do it for the (hypothetical) boy. Because boys are more likely to be assaulted. I only have a problem with the implication after it becomes clear that you can no longer acceptably replace "men" with "blacks." Probably more men than women assault joggers in public unprovoked at night, but you're talking about a tiny fraction of the slow bike riding population, so it's not an a…

But they're the ones with power. They're the ones making laws and affecting lives. If it makes you feel better when we criticize feminism we're talking about organized feminism, but why you'd want to continue to associate yourself with that label is beyond me.

The whole system can be replaced by a single hangman. That's a paraphrase from The Trial, by Franz Kafka. It's a great read. I wish I could recall the direct quote and the full context.

appreciate the honestly, and to answer your question, no, I wouldn't. Statistically I should be much more worried if a young man was being "followed." I'm here because I actually do treat both genders the same internally. Additionally, men don't have very much social freedom as it is. I would think very hard before denying an old man the peace of mind to ride his bike in public.
/r/MensRights21/01/16 03:18 AM

It's not even that. I don't consider myself directly affected by feminism. But seeing other men be treated like niggers-2.0 just makes me feel a very deep despair. I want to help all those men, and I simply can't. It's like I want to get revenge on society. Like that post about the guy who got stabbed in the eye. Rationally, I shouldn't care. Most people don't care. But I'm too sympathetic.

Some of us are old enough to remember when refugees consisted almost entirely (and by definition) of the most vulnerable members of any given country in crisis: Women, children, the elderly, and so forth. Today, on the other hand, most of the Muslims arriving in Europe from the Near East seem to be young men of fighting age: Young men whose views regarding Jews, gays, and of course women are completely at odds with Europe’s liberal tradition Yeahhh, this guy's a tradcon. This is why I always take the anti-censorship view in any debate. Coontown got banned? Well I guess black people really are shit then, otherwise we could just refute their points. The downside is that it's frustrating because the consensus view is unaligned with the correct view, as you're experiencing now.

No. I want to make things better. I'm just more of a pragmatist about it. When is the last time somebody enacted a change that benefited men more than women? As far as I can tell, it doesn't happen. So the only way to bring back male only barbershops is to take away women's only gyms. Then society will be like, wait this is stupid and we'll have both. That's the goal right? To have both. I think the point is that you do axe most other federal spending besides labor. And counting children is disingenuous (as you've hinted at). I'm not an expert. I'm not sure if the proposal would work or not. Probably nobody knows. But almost anything would be better than what the US govt. is doing now to take care of its citizens, yeah?

I spent $9000 last year living on my own with no govt. assistance. If I had a roommate or cheap studio apartments were more available I could have cut that number to $6000. We still have the moral high ground though. Feminist organizations advocate for female supremacy by opposing things like shared custody. I can't find a prominent MRA who has advocated for male supremacy by endorsing, say, female infanticide.
/r/MensRights14/01/16 05:28 PM

First paragraph I agree completely. But maybe he thought it would mean the difference between MRAs voting for him and MRAs staying home. Just like Clinton knows she has the female vote locked up, she has to keep saying more and more misandric things to get them to the polls. That's why politics always turns into incoherent bluster. The fact that this is where we are makes me want to give up entirely. People just love women and hate men. It's biological. There's no getting around it. Has there been a single instance in human civilization where things have gotten closer to equal for men? Or is human development always used to pedestalize women at men's expense?

Keep in mind that sales tax is regressive. Meaning poor people pay a higher percentage of their income in sales tax than rich people. So income tax has to do some correcting for that.

The National Organization of Women opposes shared parental custody. They are the largest feminist organization with 500,000 members and a PAC. They also still believe Jackie was raped despite her allegations being proven false beyond a reasonable doubt. Truthfully feminism has always been about female supremacy; understand that the suffregettes only accepted the right to vote when it was decoupled from conscription, but only for women.

why can't the same argument be used to explain why black people are 40% of the prison population?
/r/MensRights10/01/16 11:19 PM
2

You definitely can't tell them everything though, and it's a problem. They'll ask you if you have a suicide plan. If you say yes, you get imprisoned, see doctors for maybe 10 minutes a day, and get billed for the privilege. If you say no, you get 50mg of zoloft and a pat on the head. Help for men just doesn't exist in the US.
/r/MensRights10/01/16 07:08 PM

That's one explanation. Another is that it's just easier for people to swallow feminism. Men agree with feminism because it lets them have low standards and still be better than "those guys." Women agree with feminism because it tells them that any lack of success on their part is due to oppression instead of character flaws. Successful men especially agree with feminism because it lets them drag down their competition. Not to mention their more pronounced preferential female bias. The fact that…

I make this point so much that I should prolly just make a copypasta. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_suicide_rate Notice how more women than men commit suicide in China. That suggests that the suicide rate is a product of circumstances rather than innate to a particular gender. You'll also notice that in the US, the male suicide rank is 15 places higher than the female suicide ranking. This suggests that compared to other countries, the US is especially hostile to men. I'd like to reword this to be less bellicose, but idk how, so try to read below as though we are having a dispassionate discussion :) and what standard of living would the kid be subjected to during visitation, assuming all of the money is being funneled into one household? Oh, it wasn't deliberate. You're so misinformed it's sad. For starters nobody here has ever called a woman a bitch for rejecting a guy. For second I'm gay, so your assessment of my motivations literally could not be less accurate. Why is it so hard for you to accept the fact that accidentally killing someone is a crime; the crime is called manslaughter; and if we're going to punish men for it, then we should punish women as well?
/r/MensRights10/01/16 12:57 AM

I would absolutely take on a larger obligation to be able to watch my kid grow up. It's not a burden. It's my child.

she should have said no to pointing the gun at him, and she should have said no to pulling the trigger. I hope you're being deliberately obtuse. Yes, the boyfriend shares some responsibility. Not all of it. She has agency too. Why is it so hard for feminists to acknowledge this? Seems pretty misogynistic to me.
/r/MensRights09/01/16 11:40 PM

I completely agree, but for many parents practical concerns like schooling make a primary custody + visitation model more feasible. In those cases I would prefer neither parent pay the state to have their kid taken away from them, if possible.

1.) That's still better than the current situation where SAHD would have about $1000 a month imputed to him and then end up homeless or in prison. 2.) After a divorce, the dad should get a job anyway. Marriage isn't a contract for lifetime financial security.

you're not hearing what I'm saying. The goal of course is to lift men up. The only way to do that is to first drag women down. Because the only way to get people to notice how bad things are for men is to make them just as bad for women.
/r/MensRights06/01/16 08:25 PM

I'm not much for shaming language. Why don't you tell me exactly what is wrong with my logic? I'm sure you could do a better job at that than some trained feels police. Edit: appears nobody can, so they just disagree voted instead. I'm used to that sort of thing. Edit2: I'll give you a hint. There is no fundamental difference. It's a matter of degree. Makes sense. The judge deserves to die. The police officers deserve to die. The DA deserves to die. The jury deserves to die. Basically every feminist or "tough on crime" politician deserves to die. There are a lot of people who had a say in locking that man up for 28 years. At this point he basically has to move on or fire a gun into a public building indiscriminately. Two things: 1.) Attempts only count if someone sees you. Taking 5 advil counts as an attempt. Holding a gun to your head and playing sad music until the doorbell rings does not. So any statistics on attempts are unreliable at best. 2.) Suicide rates vary by country. Prison population is a big one. A lot of people seem to simultaneously hold the view that blacks (40% of the prison population) are discriminated against by the legal system, but men (90%) simply commit more crimes, without any justification for this inconsistency. Edit: Life expectancy gap is another big one. Compare breast cancer funding to prostate cancer finding. Homeless population is another issue I've experienced firsthand.

I'm not sure. I spread stuff around and email people from time to time, and I wouldn't do that if I was sure "all hope is lost." But I don't have any evidence of culture overcoming human nature. But I haven't thought about it too hard. Can you think of an example?

This isn't men vs. women. It's MRA vs feminist. The MRA has lots of female supporters. IMO, if you support shared parental custody by default, great, kumbaya and all that. You should consider distancing yourself from the label of feminism, because the feminists with political influence do not agree with your view on that issue. If you oppose shared parental custody, then you and I have some fundamental disagreements that cannot be compromised.

It's simple. MRAs argue for equality, feminists argue for female supremacy. National Organization of Women opposes shared custody. I've never heard of a prominent MRA who supports, say, female infanticide. There's no equivalency. If one movement succeeds, the other must fail.
/r/MensRights27/12/15 08:13 PM

you say patriarchy; we say gynocentrism. Circumcision is an example of turning a male into a better consumer product for women. Feminists pull this bait and switch all the time. "See, this unfalsifiable concept of patriarchy hurts men too! The solution is more privileges for women!"
