There's something about that picky personality that tells me he not willing to put himself in a place of discomfort, uncertainty, or trust for the potential of widening his horizon. That's a person that can't delay gratification and I'd say is addicted to the dopamine that hamburgers and pizza deliver. What other dopamine addictions does the guy have? yeah, it's a hard pass for picky eaters from now on

It's sad though that the highest poverty rate in the US is "recent single mothers" Happier despite the world not giving a shit about them. It just goes to show how much they needed to leave their shitty husbands to risk poverty.

It may be just my experience, but it's such a problem with white boys! I've known picky POC but not to the only-mac-n-cheese&chickn-nuggets extent that picky white boys have. lmao

why do mods always remove these types of posts and use the "this is not a debate" rule? It's every time and no one is ever debating. They all agree that the man is the ass hole

so true. It's when I became confident enough to tell every date what I need and want and expect from a relationship. The ones that can't deliver will peace out, leaving only the compatible remaining. It's still a struggle. I feel like these boys try to test you at every corner. No, my standards still apply. It wasn't ok a month ago to test my boundaries, it's not ok today, and it won't be ok in 10 years.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/living-single/201701/is-it-true-single-women-and-married-men-do-best the research might be closer to "women do better than men when they are single" "Women have more time to pursue their own interests when they live alone, whereas men have more time to do what they like when they live with someone else" yikes... looks like married women spend their time doing something that men aren't. Wonder what that is -_-

That's a good point. If it didn't cause distress, is she still a victim? Is distress required for a person to person crime? I'd say decidedly no, but it definitely changes the severity of a crime. Distress or damages can't really be assessed before a crime is committed though, so how much should it be considered when looking at the assailant? It makes me wonder if having a victim chose to "press charges" makes any sense at all. Also, if it's not a crime but it causes distress, how should a socie…

do it, yes! I've dropped a lot of women empowerment, left feminist subs, and subs that are mostly critical because it's absolutely depressing. It paints a picture that the entire world is shit. I want the empowerment, the strategy, and the feminist love more than I want to be reminded of how shitty most men are. I know some women need to be reminded, but most of us here are very familiar.

As a woman with a similar background, I got a trick that works for me. I approach femininity in "competition" mode. "I'm gonna be so fuckin emotionally intelligent [elegant, caring, ect] , these weak boys can't even hang. " Also Alexandra and every video she posts

I hate this. I was talking in a group of men about skydiving and my brother mentioned this story of a wife sabotaging her husbands jump and he died. One of the guys turned to me and said something about how vicious women are. I told him that I'd rather die from falling than be beat to death, strangled or stabbed. You know, the way guys do it. (I wish I mentioned set on fire, cuz that's very popular for men) Then he looked confused and tried to argue that falling would be very scary. lmao what an…

I'm a programmer! Honestly, I feel like I have an edge in interviews because I'm not socially awkward. A lot of companies need their programmers to talk to clients and work well in a team now, especially with agile development. People do try to walk all over you in other ways and sexual harassment among nerds is too real. Also men still hold the floor in meetings. Either way, it's a great career and if you can get past the EXTREME imposture syndrome, that's made worse when you're a woman, you're…

Men also forget that "dating" doesn't end at getting dates. That's just the first part you idiots! The hard part is weeding through all the bullshit and trash humans, the liars and the cheats, the diseases, the stereotypes and overall hate men have for women, the emotional work that men throw on us and just the overall hurdles that dating throws in your way. and then after all of that THERE'S THE VIOLENCE. statistics are not on our side when women are being attacked and manipulated by the person…

The national average gross weekly salary for full-time live-in nannies is $670. " 670*4.34 (weeks in a month) Her work is worth $2907.80 or lets pretend you take care of the kids when you aren't working. 40hrs a week 4.34 weeks and $19.14 per hour is $3,322 ... somehow even more So STFU you get a mother that raises your kids…

I know this is all preventative and important to say, but I also want to emphasize that it's no woman's fault and even the best of us are going to make mistakes in judging men. Men who've spent their whole lives deceiving where we've only had a short time to try and detect deceit from that man.

I've read a lot about "accidental kitchen fires" that kill wives. Wives who's parents can't pay the dowry. Not to mention all the female infanticide. 63+ MILLION women are "missing" in India. And that article doesn't even mention the straight murder of female babies.

He's probably a lost cause but if my brother started acting a fool I would definitely tell him and I'd talk to my mom about how she's coddling him. But I have a totally different upbringing and family dynamic. My brother is probably a HVM, if anything a pushover. I mean, most men are trash, and I recognize this because my father and brother are not. My cynicism is earned because I have a high bar of comparison. So you probably can't do much if you don't have anything to work with

I don't see that at all. The average older woman (especially a single one) is practically invisible to society. They want us to be housewives or mothers. Older single men can be career driven but an older single woman... well she must be unbearable if no man would have her. I mean just the language we use for older unmarried women. Spinster, unmarried, childless. It all focuses on what a woman doesn't have. When men are refereed to as bachelors, single, and "confirmed bachelor ". There isn't eve…

I struggle with this too. I don't want to owe anyone. But at the same time, I let my friends and family treat if they want. I pay sometimes, they pay sometimes. I trust them not to hold it over me, and if they do, it means they suck. So same with my man. If he wants to treat, cool. But he better not try to use his "kindness" against me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/02/20 08:54 PM

which makes total sense. How can you know how to treat a woman when you can't even hold a conversation with one? At least Chad has been in a relationship and has had to listen to a woman, compromise, ect.

you probably DO associate with some of them. It's an age old story for an abuser's friends and family to be SHOCKED that their buddy could have done anything wrong. Some guys show signs, but plenty don't. When women who are actively screening for dangerous men are getting fooled, that man is probably able to fool his drinking buddy.

It doesn't matter if you can relate or not. 90% of reddit is male dominated. This is a female only space and we deserve that much. There are PLENTY of other subs you can go to have a back and forth discussion. What you think is just another echo chamber is actually one of the only places on reddit where women can get away from misogynistic comments. It's literally in every open sub.

yeah, I agree. It's about RECOGNIZING your emotions (irritation, frustration) as soon as they come up. It's ok to voice them to the man you love. Emotions aren't the big deal here. The big deal happens when you ignore those 'no big deal' emotions. Also I just want to add to the STFU thing, that it really has to do with picking your battles. Obviously, this singular incident isn't something to fight over. If this is indicative of larger problem than you need to think on that, write stuff down, an…

It's really not that hard. I use to like complicated boys. Ones that I could work to understand and that maybe had some tragic history. you get over that with age, seriously. It's just tiring. It was like a switch that flicked on. I just decided to go with guys that are sweet and fun and not complicated. Once and a while I'll check out that brooding hotty in the corner but it's just a cute little daytime fantasy(that I don't want IRL), cuz honestly IRL that brooding hotty doesn't have his shit t…

but also, you can't expect another person to just predict your needs. If you just expect him to take care of your needs, you're going to be extremely let down when they aren't met. I'd say know your "deal breakers" and make them known. (not every tiny pet peeve, but the big ones that make you feel loved and safe). I can just see the above advice going way down hill if communication isn't involved. Also it's ok to go get into a relationship and make mistakes. It's part of the learning process. Be…
