I think the chart needs to differentiate between first marriages and subsequent marriages from the man's side. 30 years ago a man may have been more likely to get re-married, which would likely occur with older women. These days there is a lot of 1-and-done marriages because once a man realizes how the game is rigged and once they survive the first round of marriage they have zero desire to do it again. The re-marriages could be what's disappearing, not the initial young-and-in-love marriages.

My mom and dad are like this. She hasn't done shit her entire life but sit around and you get the "it's our money" shit, too. He defends her by saying "she raised our sons".
