That’s basically a hate crime, isn’t it?

Second-wave feminism is like this, unfortunately. Its about “me” instead of “us.”

Older generations, who are out of the work force and not as socially active, may not feel the effects of the Politics of Feelings as much as those who are just leaving school and entering the work force. So, it affects multiple “named” generation, but in the end, it will likely leave a greater impression on a certain age group as they’re more exposed to newest policy changes and social conventions.

Yeah, there will be ebbs and flows, but there always has been. Long term trajectory is still positive. This generation may just have to take it on the chin, though. Could be far worse.

On a long enough timeline, it will. Look at the role of religion over the past 100 years. Science and reason have made significant inroads. It’s a slow process, as those who perpetuate lies have a vested interest in doing so, but I believe that truth will prevail in the end. Nothing wrong with healthy skepticism, but pessimism can lead to resignation, and inaction, which is what kills progress.

Indeed. But try to take some comfort in the fact that, in the end, reason will triumph. We may have to live through a brief period of misandry masquerading as women’s rights but, ultimately, hysterical screeching isn’t a solution.

The risk in both cases seems to be the offending of any group that must pay higher premiums due to correlations between membership in that group and likelihood to be a liability for the insurance company. Which results in fewer customers, etc. It’s discrimination, but justified by real-world statistics. Which I support. What’s unfortunate is that discrimination against men in this case goes largely unchallenged. If insurance companies discriminated against (virtually) any other “high-risk” group…

If Chinese-born drivers, statistically speaking, cost the insurance companies more than Canadian-born drivers, would it be okay to increase premiums for all Chinese-born drivers?

Congrats, man. Brace yourself for onslaught of mischaracterizations and false accusations if it goes to trial. Fingers crossed you get a good judge. Hope it all works out.

What does this have to do with this post? Or is your game to plant these little nuggets and run away with an “Ain’t I a lil stinker!” grin on your face? You seem like a reasonably articulate person. Perhaps there’s a better way to spend your time.

Although I’m sure a lot of men pretend to understand and support feminist causes in order to portray themselves as sympathetic creatures, worthy of mating status, it’s even more disturbing to see men who play that role for other reasons. There is a disturbing number of men who are willing to throw themselves into the second-wave feminist echo chamber simply to appear “progressive.” It’s a cheap and trendy wave to ride with nothing but upsides to those who choose not to scratch the surface of wha…

I meant that they feel powerless in general, not in the court system. They know that they have a huge advantage once the issue hits the courts, which is why they leverage their privilege with law enforcement and courts.

It’s a shitty thing to realize that the person who brought you into this world, the person who you’re supposed to be able to trust without question, has been deceiving you. When you found out that your mother had been dishonest about your father, did it change how you felt about her, or how you felt about your father?

Because they feel powerless and it’s a means for them to exercise control. They don’t realize, or don’t care, that they are using their child as a weapon and causing them lifelong psychological damage. Also, because they know they can get away with it.

Her identity will 100% be revealed. Probably sooner than later. Somebody will eventually leak that info and her personal and professional reputation will be forever tarnished. That poetic justice will be a tough pill to swallow.

She’s doing a great job of making the case for misogyny, one hissyfit at a time. Real feminists should be appalled by this hysterical overreaction. This woman is a product of a society where political correctness and victim culture run amok.

You, sir, have just made me feel slightly uncomfortable and therefore have committed a hate crime. Welcome to 2017.

Child Protective Services (and like agencies) are notoriously ineffective to the point where it’s often debated whether they do more harm than good.

Don’t underestimate white male guilt. A lot of men have been conditioned to hate themselves and feel that the only way to win female approval is to adopt a perpetrator mentality and continuously apologize for an entire gender. Sad but true.

Sorry to hear that. The system is heavily tilted towards women, no question. They perpetuate the image of themselves as innocent victims, but most women know that the police and courts rule in their favour be default, and so abuse that system. Often, it's not even a matter of support. It's simply revenge. Women realize that they can use the police and the courts as their own personal weapon. If you look at BC family law case history, you start to realize that, as a man, fighting it generally onl…
