I am pretty sure that in order to register a booth one actually needs to have a comic book, it is a comic book convention after all. If she tried to register as a HB, which is not a comic book, they would have just denied her. Also, this really isn't different than people who create other political comic books (ie: about environmentalism) who are partially funded by the environmental industry.

My test is always.. if it was an old man, like my hard working grandfather, would I offer the help unsolicited? Most people, male or female, will not solicit help. They just wont. Just because it is a female struggling.. does not mean you should deny help. Being an MGTOW does not mean being a hyper-asshole 24/7, it just means protecting yourself from people (male or female) who are out to exploit you. A person who has a flat tire on the side of the road, for example, is not out to exploit you.

I think as long as the money goes to a real charity, a real worthwhile cause, there is little worry as to how the money is raised. Sarkeesian did not raise money for charity afaik, she raised it for herself, spent it all on herself, and has occasionally made short low-budget YouTube videos as she promised she would do. American Survivor did the exact same format, and had the exact same results. The women's camp, despite having many outdoorsy women, was a complete disaster. I do not disagree with you that rape is in a league of its own, but that is a social problem, not a legal problem. Anonymity is the largest reason why being accused of rape ruins a persons life. Remove anonymity and the truth of false accusations will come to light, and then the social stigma of being accused will diminish.
