First of all, for various reasons abortion isn’t a viable option for all women. Whether that’s because of availability of services, religion, health, etc. And in many cases the father doesn’t become absent until after the fact. Some agree to having kids and are even ‘excited’ about fatherhood til they realise how hard it is. My parents were married and he ran away after my sister was born.

Okay? If a man hasn’t accepted that a child may result from having sex then why the hell is he having sex? Of course if he and his partner both agreed to contraception and the woman sabotaged it in some way (which I know does happen), that sucks. But ultimately if you don’t want kids, don’t have sex. The Mum still fucked up the kid? Maybe, sure. But as a product of single motherhood myself do you realise how hard it is to raise a kid, let alone several, on your own? You still need to work to pro…

So what would you have the mums do? Leave the child too, like the father? You could’ve easily said “absent fathers create criminals” but instead you chose to frame it in such a way to blame women, as usual, despite them being the one who stayed and upheld their responsibility.

FDS encourages women to choose being single over ending up in a toxic relationship. Even if HVM are as rare as you’re saying they are (which I highly doubt), FDS’s main goal is to end up with one, yes, but it also equips women with the mental and economic strength to refuse becoming someone’s “plate”/doormat.

This is an extremely disingenuous statement. I don’t know which men you’ve come across in your life but I and most others don’t know many men who don’t have some basic criteria outside of “not obese/takes care of herself” when it comes to choosing partners. I’ve heard just as many men (if not more so in their “locker room conversations”) say disgustingly judgemental things regarding women’s bodies. If we want to be fair, Id say an issue like body shaming is equally perpetuated by men and women a…

I feel for you. It’s hard to hear but I think you need to have a really good cry. Eat your favourite foods, watch your favourite movies, do your favourite activities. Then block him and begin to move forward.

From a woman's perspective, having pulled this myself, what happened is she was probably feeling herself either become horny and/or catching feelings, so she left quickly to avoid anything happening.

The short answer is yes, you are being whiny and ungrateful. I can't be sure, but i feel like what happened here is you married a white guy assuming that that would mean you were marrying "up", because i've heard it's very common for Asian women to say they only date white guys. As many others have said, it seems like you were never in love with the guy, because what i notice is that you're very quick to point out his faults, but never make any mention of your own. e.g If you want more income co…

Hi, dark skinned black RPW here! I myself have wondered if there are many other black RPW’s so this was an interesting question for me. My parents are Nigerian but I’m Australian raised living in Australia, so the racial politics I see in America is vastly different to over here, simply because we do not have the same history. Not to say that racism or prejudices don’t exist (cause they sure do lol) but the stereotypes are slightly different. Also, having been raised in Nigerian/African culture,…

Thanks so much. There’s so much wisdom here. I suppose I’ve always known the steps I need to take to get out of it, it’s just been a matter of will.

This is honestly such helpful advice. I haven’t gone to see a dr or get medication because the community I live in is very small and mental illness is heavily stigmatised, but this was really the push I needed to do just that. Thank you so much

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
