It is simply not true.

Our stimuli are still processed by the lower parts of the brain that have significant relevance for our perception. And we can strongly trigger these parts, what imho RP and PUAs try and focus on. Yet the higher cortical functions dominate our lifes and cultures. That often creates a conflict in us (also for women) that we have to live and cope with in this transition period. But we won't go back where we came from. At least not entirely. I imagine it as going upwards in a spiral movement.

Like I said, not my experience. I agree that some aspects of RP are helpful, but these are not genuinely belonging to RP but to mainstream parts of psychology. The evolutionary psychology that RP thrives on is blown to a proportion that doesn't match the reality of current people. Of course we have a limbic core, yet our brain has evolved fiercly since then.

Yeah mental health and a healthy, loving way to treat your body is important. You don't need RP for that. Imho.

I think a look into a recent psychology, neurology, anthropology or philosophy book should do.

What are the sources for that? Doesn't seem to fit what I have read.

It's only 25 percent. Let's say it was really only 25%. A quarter is very substantial in my view. From what I have seen it's clearly more than that though. And also outdated in that the biological reductionism that feeds the theory is not even closely precise when it comes to the complexity of a contemporary human being.

It's true. Men do have to excel and to prove ourselves constantly. I for my part consider this an outdated paradigm, it's the leading reason that brought us to the climate crisis ahead that we are just about to enter. It's okay to have different views here. I will not convince you otherwise. Because that's literally what game is. After 17 years of self-growth work I came to the conclusion that "game" is not necessary for me. Just being myself is just sufficient and brings satisfying outcomes.

Thanks for your feedback. I don't necessarily say that it is only about women, but attraction and how to manipulate your end of things as a man seems to me a substantial part of it. Of course, improving your life and grow in moderation at a natural pace as a person is raising self-esteem and attraction levels. Isn't that also attractive in women though? I think it's reinforcing a sad belief that men have to prove themselves constantly and excel. Why teaching conditional love for yourself? From w…

I guess the perceived otherness can be real. For me e.g. it's fascinating that they can grow and give birth to children. And other things. That can be very enriching for a relationship, the spiciness of the differences that also exist among huge commonalities.

That's fine. We are here to debate. Good reminder. There exist also women with severe personality disorders. Just going into dating without protection at first would be naive. I want to undermine the general assumption that women are our natural enemies.

I thought he wanted to point to the general responsibility of adults. I guess, indoctrination and isolation after a certain point can let that slide, the cult like character of RP seems the major reason for this sub-reddit.

Your warning is taken. I would like to promote with my post a general optimistic stance that the majority of women are interested in satisfying relationships as much as most men.

For me that frame that you refer to is really sad for several reasons, but first and foremost because mature women (of any age really) are amazing lovers. A pity to miss that.

It's a good direction to take to be more centered in your adult-self, I would agree. That applies to women too. What I meant in my post is to not neglect the inner reality of the "child" which inevitably every man has as well. What I've read in most PUA and RP literature in the past is that women are not granted an adult-self and degrated to mere children, which is not the reality I am living in.

I meant more mature women who can smell your inauthenticity from miles away when you apply those manipulations.

Of course there are biological differences between men and women. The differences between them are way slimmer statistically than within the groups. Means, women as well as men have a lot of individuality and share a lot of commonality. I think one of the most damaging beliefs in the RP and PUA community is that men are in a natural state unempathic, cold and dominant . I think newer research in anthropology shows that without cooperation humankind could have not evolved. I believe men are just …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
