OP said in later comments that they don’t live together. But also, it’s not that I’m saying marriage so young will necessarily last better, just pointing out/asking for clarity cause I thought that was a main focus of this particular subreddit. Now I’m just lost for what this group is advocating. The group may be pushing for women to partner at 25 instead of 21, but that also starts by getting out of situations that a going nowhere early enough. If I were OP I would say waiting is fine but try t…

Isn’t one of the main points of this group though, to encourage women to be proactive in their peak and not wait until they’ve hit the wall to land a husband?

I don’t use sex to impress by the way, but yeah the apps often feel like a giant waste of time lol

So if we’re talking about an average Joe that hardly gets matches…why wouldn’t he want to settle down? Wouldn’t he get more sex than he would by just trying to score different hook ups? And of course the real benefit is companionship and intimacy. Getting married would be great but it’s not required. I just don’t get what men want when it comes to building a meaningful life. Career alone doesn’t cut it for me. I would want to live with someone to share in life’s struggles.

I guess that’s somewhat true. They hold the key to commitment in their pocket, but there still needs to be women who want that from that particular man. I’m just so tired personally of going through hundreds of matches constantly yet being single for the past few years. Every guy is willing to fuck me based on pics…Where are the ones willing to commit 😞

The economics of sex. Men are winning in the area that actually matters. Which is commitment https://youtu.be/cO1ifNaNABY

His oversharing (that he cried) and lack of boundaries is a red flag. Beating himself up in the bathroom where you could hear him? What a way to make it even worse 🤦‍♀️. He needs to work on himself and if you want to try to be friends, definitely make sure you’re distant for awhile first and not giving him false hope. Might even be worth mentioning when you’re interested in another guy to get the point across.

Okay thanks! I guess what I would ask as a follow up then is…if someone isn’t having a hard time with family or something specific — how can we send the message that we’re taking the guy seriously without seeming like we’re chasing them? Initiating phone calls? Coming right out and saying that you’re interested in a relationship with them?

Can you give a few examples of HOW she showed she was serious? Cause I feel like showing you’re serious as a woman sometimes just comes off pushy and desperate.

Okay makes sense. And yeah I think doing almost nothing for a long period of time isn’t healthy either. I just know there’s lots of productivity that could still occur within the home or without a job, but you’re right they didn’t go into that

Why? Is embracing differences bad? She should definitely make it clear she doesn’t want to have these conversations though.

Hi! Can you elaborate on what you mean by “it’s not healthy for anyone to do that”? I’m curious about this statement because I’m always healthiest when I don’t have a job 😅. This is when I get enough sleep, have enough time and energy to cook balanced meals, and have enough time/energy to workout. I definitely wouldn’t want a husband who doesn’t work - but this is because he needs to contribute and not put all the burden unfairly on me. Never would have thought of it as a question of it being “h…

Yep! Use some variation of the broken record technique so it’s more obvious you have nothing more to say on the matter

How does one even “insist on a dinner date” gracefully? “Hey would you be up for grabbing a drink sometime?” “No I would not, but I’m open to a full 3 course meal.” 😊

Just seems like a lot of wasted time. You find out if it’s going nowhere faster when you see each other often and see their behaviour around you etc, see how much free time they spend in your company

I can’t think of anything that matters more than living in two different countries 😟 It’s not just about if he CAN travel, it’s just harder to build a solid connection when you’re not around each other much. Out of sight out of mind

THIS! 🙌🙌🙌 Being alone is stupid. Also wasting your prime years on independent pursuits is stupid.

I can understand not wanting to use the bathroom in your shared place if it isn’t clean, but why are you doing his laundry? Sometimes you just have to leave things undone until he has no clean clothes left and no choice but to do it himself 🤷‍♀️

You make two very valid points here! She shouldn’t be ignoring the “nature” aspects of sex. And yes as someone who waited longer than most to have it (age 23) I can definitely attest to not really understanding it until you’re sexually active for awhile. So yeah the strong opinion can only be so valid

It can be a constant niggling need for women too! Lol I need the release almost everyday!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
