In this scenario, the gf sees that her bf is sharing resources with another female, which to her hind brain is perceived as being unfaithful. Another factor is you also need to have huge control over your emotions. The best players can get unlucky and still play the next hand optimally. Tbh I don't think this has much to do with the fact that you were gay. The problem is you were not allowing an attractive women to monopolize her partners time to the degree that she felt entitled to. This happens to plenty of straight guys. This was true maybe 2000 years ago, but since the proliferation of the ability for mankind to record and pass on knowledge to the next 100 generations this isn't any longer the case. Newton did more for humanity by being an exceptional human and proliferating his knowledge than he would have by just having 20 kids. I wish he had used a good looking guy pick with less social context. The average guy is a selfie which is always a no no in terms of signalling sociability, the ugly guy shot is similar as in it looks like a job photo or something, while the good looking guy isn't just attractive but has a shot taken by someone else while holding a drink, giving the impression of sociability.
