A child saw a human body?!?!?!?! The horror!!!

Na, I had one with a huge dick. Its all relative, but it made me wonder if they could be bred to be like a little dog stuck to a horse dick.

One more thought on calling me a hypocrite..... Imagine two drunks are sitting at a bar, and one looks at the other and says "alcohol is ruining your life" Is the drunk wrong?

"men", is that you? You don't like the term toxic masculinity, so therefore anyone who uses that term is toxic, and EVEN MORE SOOOOOO???? Is that your argument here? Ok, so you want a different term to describe whats going on? How about the damaging aspects of masculinity in society...... it's a mouthful, but I want you to be comfortable, can we talk about it yet?

I'm not sure I follow, spell this one out for me. Where am I telling people to man up? Then you say my traits aren't relevant, while then attempting to describe me....? Which way we going with this one? Yes I'm a part of a system that I'd like to dissolve.... pretty much everyone is part of the system. You too. So what would you prefer here? That I not talk about issues? Would that make me pure?

Not even sure what word you're referring to..... however if you're expecting everyone to be ideologically pure, you're going to be very disappointed. I consider myself somewhat progressive, but hell yes I have toxic traits as well. Just being aware of the issue doesn't make me immune to it.

"Two reasons: 1) Men are more suited for combat and 2) They are more expendable to a society." Geeze your so close here. There's plenty of non combat roles in the military, and you're right men are considered expendable... totally agree there, and it's the toxic part of masculinity..... see how that works? See you see things as pushed by feminists, when women have considerably less power in society, why not blame the group making the decisions here? When men tell men to be manly men, it causes m…

Let’s look at it from another direction. Why does the military draft only apply to men? Why are men under reported as victims of domestic abuse? Why are men often at a disadvantage in custody hearings? Why do men rape each other in prison?

Or... ever walk through a Walmart or large department store? Why are women’s underwear prominently displayed? What drives that? Why do women carry purses and men typically don’t? Do any of these examples make sense?

How about strip clubs? Ever seen those? How many male strip clubs in your town vs female dancers? In my experience I’ve only seen male dancers in a place like Vegas. Across middle America it’s women dancing for men... why is that? It’s almost as if you think acknowledging differences between men and women is sexist. How many women play in the NFL? There are differences.

How about all the women giving their stories of why they didn’t report harassment and assaults. How many men you know posting those stories? I can link some if your unfamiliar

How about this, did you watch the #metoo tags? Know any women who posted that? Know any men who did? For every woman who tagged metoo, shouldn't there be a dude tweeting itwasme.....? Like where you think all those come from? You seem to be saying toxic masculinity doesn't exist, which I think it really does.... I can give more examples.

" Yes i argue the root word in the slur "toxic masculinity" suggests men more than women which should not be the case for such a broad concept " Really? Men for sure are more toxic. The fun part is we do it to ourselves, it's a complicated issue, but yeah, its different for men vs women. I'm sure you can find anecdotal contradictions to any examples I give.... like dudes who drive trucks that intentionally roll coal. Sure there's probably a chick out there doing it too, you can probably even…

Because you argue the word masculinity. Your post is essentially a “not all men” post. Do you understand why those posts are problematic?

You sound toxic already.

Y’all get it’s that first word “toxic” that’s the problem right? Like there’s food that doesn’t kill you, and toxic food that does..... mr Rogers was a marine, a man, and yet not toxic.

Like in this video, a tiny ninja sprays a dude with mace. What's twice as hard? Did it work?

Right, because they didn't take you seriously before. So it does come down to insecurity. Keep in mind I have to influence people to do shit they don't want to do every month. In my experience, fairness works best. Not twice as hard. Not always escalating. You just gotta be loud enough to be heard.

Right. Why twice as hard? Like what's the point of twice as hard. Insecurity?

Yup, I think there are legitimate men's rights issues. Like that comment that their Sadie Hawkins dance was changed/cancelled because it's unfair to expect women to initiate. That's fucked. But I'm not seeing it on this one.

agreed. Swear this subreddit just looks for things to derp on, even when they're unrelated.

While it's a lot less likely for a woman to be able to (or seek to) do this ... it's more acceptable for women to socially screw up, but because women are not (as a group) thought of as avid hunters or fishers, they would not start out with the assumption that a woman would know hunting octopi in a popular dive site would be a faux pas. Ok, so to make this a men's rights issue, you make sweeping generalizations about women. Gotcha. too much testosterone. You seem to like this one too. You establ…

Let's try to stay on topic here. OP maintains this is a men's rights issue. I disagree, I think this is about the merits of hunting, and etiquette. Just because people have over-reacted does not make this anti-men. This is the world we live in, where over the top reactions are considered the norm. Yes it's fucked up, but it's not an attack on men. If you believe the response would be softer against a women, perhaps your right. However I wouldn't see that as a slight against men. I'm still trying…

Ok, you can be mad at the hippies, thats more fair than thinking this is primarily about the dude being a dude. Now you're arguing the merits of hunting, which is what I think this is really about. Dude shows up for hunting in an area thats mostly hippy diving. He could certainly choose a better venue.

Ok, I'll read it again, but you get a solid eye roll when you say "This is a rather impressive feat of strength, endurance, and agility. ". Right there, first paragraph I have to wonder if you're a serious person. Sometimes this forum makes a decent point, but I don't think this is one of them. The guy isn't on the shit list for being a guy, he's on the shitlist for punching an octopus in the face.

Wait what? The dude kills an octopus, thats regarded as bad form in the area, and you believe it's an attack on men, because men do most the killing? You're reaching my man, reaching.
/r/MensRights06/11/12 03:47 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
