I think a quick survey like the tire test is a good metric to even decide whether your points 1 through 4 are even worth discussing. I actually didn’t say it’s a metric for whether someone is ready for sex, it’s a metric that can gauge whether serious conversation about a life commitment would be a next step. Your points are important and should be the basis for determining whether someone is a good lifetime partner, but no one is going to have those conversations on a first date, or even until …

What are your thoughts on this. The spare tire test. If he isn’t the first person I call because I have a flat on the road, then I’m not in a serious relationship with him, I don’t know him well enough to think he’s committed on any sort of level, and sex would be a mistake because he’s basically a stranger. If you feel comfortable enough to call him about your tire, then having a conversation about marriage and kids is a natural next step.

And having a home come second really does mean comprising some amount of happiness and sanity - which to your point drains the ability to stay married and grow wealth.

Maybe not the way you experienced it, but understanding how men operate (many men who don’t know what RP is operate with many of the same principles.) would we not want to teach our daughters about the signs?

This includes marriage. Modeling marriage is incredibly important for children.

And she must have chastity. No decent man wants to marry a whore. Each sexual encounter you have before your husband lowers your value.

The key take away for me was to put in perspective that each time you hook up/sleep with a man, your market value goes down. Virginity is absolutely valuable and in replaceable. No man wants to even think about some other man defiling your body. And the most desirable men hate it the most.

I wish high school taught SMV as a concept in sex ed. I would have looked at relationships and dating completely differently. Its the first thing I try to impart on younger women.

You mean you like getting honest feedback more than just unrepentant validation of your current perspective? Astonishing.

This is the way unfortunately.

Only you can answer that last question. I really don’t know how I would respond to that sort of situation, I’m lucky enough to be in a relationship without any porn (they do exist). If I’m being honest, I suppose I would be a bit weirded out that my husband couldn’t hold an erection long enough to finish and can only get it back up by watching porn.

There is some middle ground somewhere in this. To be honest you sound as if you are a very emotional person, which can be very exhausting for people who fall towards the more rational/logical side of the spectrum. If he said he wouldn’t tease you anymore than take him at his word and don’t go shaking the honest tree because you will get its fruit hitting you in the head. All that is left is to stop focusing on things you can’t change, because A) you can’t change them and B) he’s still with you s…

Have you tried telling him that it hurts your feelings? I can’t imagine continuing some running gag if my husband told me it hurt his feelings. And quite honestly if telling your SO something like that makes him tease you more or ridicule you for being sensitive, then I would see that as a major red flag. The fact you and him don’t have open and honest lines of communication already established: he tends to be cold when we get into uncomfortable territory and I clam up as an immediate reaction, …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
