Thank you! I’ve been downvoted so much for saying exactly this. Just trashing on other groups all the time kinda makes people the exact thing that they’re complaining about. Spread awareness of the issues and the impact they have and how we can solve it instead of only saying “feminism bad” because that discourse is not productive

I was going to say this too, violence is allowed to just be bad regardless of the perceived societal effect first of all, and secondly why do people think the male loneliness epidemic is a thing? Even if it hypothetically doesn’t kill as often in the short term, the long term can have brutal effects.

Judge Judy has had some good moments too though so that’s surprising. I’ve seen her say many times “fathers are not second class citizens” and call out other judges too which is very respectable

I saw an article about the journalist who was killed covering the Super Bowl and there was a video of him walking into a hotel with a woman who is believed to have killed him. Hard agree, I want a space to talk about actual productive issues instead of just every post being “feminism bad.” Like ok it has its issues but saying that same thing over and over again isn’t actually starting any productive discussion.

So cool that you deliberate choose the most radical of feminists and ignore people like Eleanor Roosevelt or Gloria Steinem. There’s a difference between feminism and radical feminism. Today’s feminism is predominantly radical. When it started, the radicals existed but the majority weren’t. Check your bias

Simply put, that’s not real feminism. Modern “feminism” has strayed from what it was in the 70s and 80s. The core feminist movement is still meant to be exactly that, just a lot of people aren’t in it for the right reasons and no longer use it for such. It’s the same way that “right wing politics” in America isn’t entirely MAGA, but it’s become so associated with it because so many people have shifted in that direction, even though there are still conservatives that are anti-Trump.

Not an American, but I think the Dems kinda had some subliminal messaging in the 2024 election. With Harris, a lot of the targeted advertising to men was “think of your wife/daughters/etc.” What this is saying subconsciously is 1) we think the Reps have your best interests in mind, and 2) we don’t care about your best interests, think about women instead. The first image in that last post you linked really resonated with me. I do have a friend who has basically said they “hate all men because most men” and had said kill/peg all men unironically to us until we told them to stop.
