Good point. Already kinda planned something like that. I really want to go on-the-job learning to his city, payed by my school. It'd be 2 months long. Hoping for that to become reality next year. (I'm getting an upgrade to an existing degree)

Known him for 2+ years, became really close friends in that time, we can share anything to one another. This week I collected the courage to seriously ask him out and he's in. Because we are long distance everything is harder. We've met twice, and the connection is there (in all the ways). I can't explain the exact vetting points, but our goals in life and timeline match, he would lead the household biblically. I have a lot of questions for him now that I know for certainty we're romantically in…

Actually, I just realised my dad would only give earthly input. He is super traditional but just a lukewarm Christian. The guy im vetting has already brought me closer to God. He has been discipling me for a while already.

This post was much needed, great job explaining it. Some parts of this come naturally (atleast to me), but a conscious effort is always better.

That's right! I realised that this was a language problem. My mother tongue never uses anything "protestant" - word referring, so I couldn't make the connection before.

Hey! I'm exactly like you lol, 19F and feel the same. I am taking a hiatus from online dating/ seeking a partner. I still want some time to settle into living on my own and getting hobbies and a cleaner life. I'm focusing on guys 23+ though, I feel at that point forward you'd have more luck. I have someone I'm close friends with who I see as great spouse material, Just need to figure out how to approach him with it. I know I'll tell him as soon as I hang with him irl again. I don't really have '…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
