I’m waiting a month to start a new job, so I’ve been rekindling my interest in asceticism. I am taking one small meal per day, sleeping on the floor (done wonders for my back), taking two 1.5 mile walks per day, total silence, reading tons of philosophical texts, allowing myself to be extremely bored. 30 days of nothing is pretty difficult, and I want to get everything I can from the experience.
