maybe friends are meant to be friends, and getting excellence in pick up is to convert strangers into fb's..just a thought I have some solid friends, I've always found these relationships are too important to mess with,

All true, but I find that the subconscious irrelevant as I have no control over it. "Your auto response are not conscious" -- also true, burns gives ways to change these responses in that book, and working on that first (anxiety/irrational fear) is much easier than brute-force approach till i die ways to get practice and experience.

That only occurs when the amygdala is stimulated (during period of extreme danger, fear etc.) leading to a fight or flee response. I doubt most sedditors experience that talking to girls.
