Some of the most attractive women I know are incredibly socially awkward. Their looks have helped them to be able to fit in and have fun without really "trying" to fit in. So they've never really had to try to fit in through conversation or making themselves vulnerable. Oftentimes they end up having low self esteem because of this which can come out in many ways, whether that be excessive makeup, constant selfies and fishing for likes, or spending many hours getting ready etc. People are often f…

How many times have you seen an "ugly" guy with a hot chick? That's rhetorical, I see it all the time. Physical looks are one thing, but if you've got the real meat and potatoes underneath then that is what counts. If you keep telling yourself that you're not good looking enough you're going to hit your self esteem. When your self esteem gets hit you will only start thinking worse about yourself, further lowering your self esteem, it's a vicious cycle. Start BEING the person you want to be, rega…

"What's happening in insert person's name land?" Or just simply "what's happening in your world" I say this often and get much more meaningful and honest replies.

If I notice a girl seems uncomfortable I'll pull her up on it but in a nice way. Something like "hey, you seem uncomfortable, you okay" or something like that. After that they usually relax and feel more at ease and open up to more meaningful conversation. In a way, just asking and gauging how she is builds trust and rapport. It works for me anyway.

About a year ago I ended a relationship with my ex (we were together for 8 years, I'm 27). The first thing I did was focus on myself and doing what I wanted to do - I hit the gym, started running, reconnected with many old friends who I hardly saw during the relationship, went to music festivals, bought a new wardrobe, read many books (Power of Now, No More Mr Nice Guy and How to Win Friends & Influence People) started photography and started a new degree. All this took about a year to achieve, …

I'm 27 and have just moved back with my parents after living away from home for 7 years. Sometimes that happens - just because someone's back at home doesn't mean they've never left. Me, I'm back there because I wanted to study full-time again for a new career, and also to save for my own apartment while working casually. And you know what, I'm damn proud of it because I'm working towards my future, something so many people fail to do because they're too ashamed of moving back to save money and …

A verge large portion of hot girls on dating sites are introverted, hence the need to find love online as opposed to in the outside world. An outgoing/extroverted hot girl wouldn't really need to resort to online dating. One of my good mates is gorgeous and smart, but just isn't very social, so she can only ever get dates online.

Sydneysider here, so very true. Pretty much every single person I know (myself included) has done a 180 and are now going to the gym regularly, eating healthy and getting fit. A fat/obese person on the street is a rarity nowadays.

A simple "thanks for a nice night, see you soon ;)" is fine to text the same night as the date after you've parted ways. For any texts between then and the next date make sure they're short (less than 20 words), flirty and fun. And NEVER ask boring questions (How are you? What are you up to? etc), you want them chasing you, not the other way around. Never send more than one text in a row, always wait for a reply. However, if you don't get a reply text after a few days then send them a cheeky tex…

The lose your friends part is actually great fun. Daunting at first, but it forces you to go out solo, talk to people and have a fucking great time. Being on Molly helps of course.

It's not THAT bad here in Australia at all. I compliment people all the time in the workplace, guys and girls. Just don't make it creepy and it won't be taken the wrong way, the same as anything really.

In October last year I ended an 8 year relationship with my ex (together from age 18 - 26). I lost touch with so many of my friends and like you, mainly hung around her and her friends. I spent pretty much my whole 20s with her and now I'm back to square one and have no idea what to about dating again (the thought frightens me to be honest, I've been out of the game now for 8+ years!). However, rather than focus on getting another girlfriend/date/ons right away, I have used the time between then…

I don't know if they still stock them, but Target's Mossimo V-neck range is awesome. So many different colours and they're so well-fitting and cheap.

A fitting and complementing t-shirt from Target will look a million times better than an ill-fitting shirt from a designer store. It's all about how it fits and how it makes you feel when you wear it. If you feel confident in an outfit, you will emit that same confidence to people around you.

Thank you, I like the idea of switching it up a bit to keep it interesting.

That has happened to me quite a bit, but then I'm lost as to what to do next and I usually end up looking like a fool! What's the best and most natural course of action to take when someone backs up to you like that? Do you grab her waist, turn her around, I need to know.

Thanks, that's a huge amount of info! That Eckhart Tolle one sounds perfect. I've tried and tried to read Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged mainly) and I just cannot get into it. There are NO likeable protagonists and it's so awfully contrived that I lost interest fairly quickly. That said, I do have it still and I may just give it another go, and hopefully it wont be fruitless this time. I've also got How to Win Friends and Influence People and I've just started reading it, and so far so good I must say…

Like I just said to IANAPUA_Yet, if you have the confidence you can pull off almost anything. However, if you're new to the whole game then you'd probably come across as creepy. The OP sounds new to the game, so I was just giving my 2 cents.

I suppose if you exude a sense of confidence far above the rest you could say anything you wanted, but I don't think a newbie to the game would be able to pull it off without coming across as crass. You probably exhibited a mass of confidence in this particular situation and it worked out in your favor :P I don't think I'd be able to say that after meeting someone for the first time! To each their own I guess but if it works for you then there's no need to change it.

Maybe average was the wrong word to use. I meant to say most girls (as in probably at least 75%).

Urgh, this makes me cringe, no offense, but I think that's a horrid example of something to say. Good thing it worked for you though, so props, but I doubt this would work with the average girl. I'd replace 'walking around with my cock out' with 'walking around naked'. Much less aggressive and also unisex, as she'd be picturing herself walking around naked as well (rapport building).

Do you have any good links to do with conversation threading? I've tried a quick Google search and all I can find are articles about email issues.

Or in other terms, you are whatever you think you are. If you think you're ugly, boring, and will be forever alone for the rest of your life, then you WILL be that. If you start thinking you're hot, awesome and interesting you'll soon realize that you truly are hot, awesome and interesting.

So you can approach a girl, clam up, get rejected and feel like a loser, but in doing so you've still made better progress than the majority of guys out there. I like it, and I'm going to start telling myself this!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
