Send memes. I'm serious. Make him laugh. Allows for low effort emotional connection. Memes aren't seen as needy. Then transition to fun convo topics. Avoid heavy needy behavior like hard questions. Keep them open as well. Asking "do you like pizza" versus "Hey...I have something very important to talk to you about... Is pineapple on pizza a deal breaker" "Hey check this funny video/meme out. Made me laugh" TLDR: be normal.
