No, if you wire it directly to the fuse box then it comes with a voltage cutoff switch, alternatively you can buy they’re battery pack which will allow it to tape continuously in “park mode” (when the vehicle is switched off) until the external battery is drained which at 4K is 8-10 hours however the batteries are stackable. Also they offer an obd2 port connector which has a voltage cutoff switch.
