Bravo on a true example of what being a man is to me in allowing her dignity and respect even if you two no longer on the same page for marriage

Actually have found that cooking recipes for 4 is about perfect to have for dinner and a couple lunches for work during the week. I still try to make sure that I make the kind of huge meals that make the house smell good anytime I have my son (nearly 50:50)

As others have said, it doesn’t really matter. Y’all were done, move on (as long as he has nothing that would affect custody).

I applied myself to work and a second masters degree better, found an amazing woman, smoked a lot more Cubans for fun (rather than for the nicotine), drank better, and am overall much better off. Yeah I took a haircut in my pay for spousal and child support, but it’s been worth it

JD S100. Fits the needs of the yard and was reasonably priced

So I was in the same boat, and ended up doing a loan with a reasonable term for half the short term debt (credit cards). It’s worth running the numbers to see what the net payment will be (including interest) and comparing to current payment. In my case I’m paying less interest and a lower monthly payment so it was a win win, but YMMV

It might take a few to find one that you click with, but it’s worth it. Think of it as investing in yourself. Men’s mental health is something that got pushed aside for the longest time as we were told “that’s just how it is” or to “suck it up”.

First barbecue after separation, and I still found it necessary to do a ton. I guess that means more for the son and I (and maybe a little in the freezer)

There’s only a few constants in life- taxes are one of them. If someone wants to look through them then more power to them. Tax code is awful, returns are even more boring. Apparently they are gluttons for punishment to try to search for non-existent items

This. 100% this. Your ex is going to be around because of your family (daughter) but it’s just your daughter and yourself. Keep making memories with your daughter. It’s what she will have when you get old. It’s not about the latest and greatest toys or anything, it’s about the memories.

I’ve been jamming to some Miles Davis, Sinatra, and some 90s country

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
