You are going to be undesirable to NYC women - when I lived in Manhattan in my early 20s, I wouldn’t even bother with women from Queens or Brooklyn, let alone NJ or LI. In the suburban dating pool you still live at home, but at least you have a good job and commute to NYC, so that could work.
