Yes-- I call it choice paralysis all the time! I delete my tinder every few weeks because there are too many people, and then a few days later I tell myself "this time" I'm going to swipe in batches then hide my profile. Before I know it I have several hundred unread matches and the cycle repeats itself.

I see your point of view and it makes sense. From a decently attractive female's point of view, I currently have over 400 messages that I haven't even responded to because it's too overwhelming. I'd rather spend my time responding to someone who's made an effort over someone who hasn't taken the time to write a line about themselves.

I'm not on there for hookups, which is why I would swipe left to a guy with one pic and no bio. Too funny you say dating is a numbers game, because I say exactly that in my tinder profile! EDIT: Not sure why I'm being downvoted, but I can only assume it's by sad incels
