Of course it will be hard to find true empirical evidence for it, any study into it would most likely be deemed sexist and would struggle to find funding for it. It's a pretty straight up showcase of how the public accept a women using violence to get her way, when if it was switched it would be seen as either a joke, or it would be outright condemned and ridiculed (as it should be, domestic violence is fucking terrible and inexcusable).
