Yeah, no argument there, there are measures in place to push young men to register (although the fines and prison time are almost never enforced), but restricting voting rights is not one of those measures.

You don't have to register for the Selective Service to vote; that simply is not accurate. They will deny you student loans and government employment opportunities if you don't register, but registering to vote is handled exclusively by the states and is completely unrelated to the Selective Service.

It's probably because 'Tech' jobs do not directly correspond to STEM fields. STEM is a lot more broad than Technology, for example, women make up almost 60% of degree holders in Biology (a STEM field) but in Computer Science and Information Technology (very Tech-specific STEM fields) women only make up 14% and 17% of degree holders respectively. Simply looking at all STEM degrees is not going to be very helpful, there are a lot of specifics that are overlooked that way. http://www.payscale.com/r…

As I've said in other comments on this thread, leftists are not necessarily feminists. But feminists are nearly all leftists. So feminism is very frequently intertwined with socialist politics. My point is that feminism views patriarchy as Marxists view capitalism and feminism usually fits into a leftist/ socialist political philosophy, especially from the more prominent proponents of feminism.
