Yeah when I saw this post I immediately though of FDS ugh. Also that absurd 'trophy' the man gave his wife for being good at oral sex. I thought that was so foul.

I'm wondering if this is a regional thing and/or "type" thing? Where I live (urban, east coast, liberal) and the type of guys I've dated (nerdy, intelligent, well-read) I've never had this issue. I've been very choosy and selective about men I've dated and I've never had anyone push my boundaries sexually. That would have been a huge red flag for me and I would have dropped them immediately. It sounds like you are following the rules of the sub, and by doing so you are rooting out the LVM. It's …

There's a podcast called The Last Days of August that goes into great detail about the life and death of August Ames. I recommend listening to it. One of the biggest takeaways from the podcast was that most women working in porn are emotionally traumatized from sex abuse as children, and are being exploited by decades older man-children that prey on young women because they can't relate to women their own age. August, sadly, was a case study in this predatory behavior. Her much-older husband's (…

No and no. I remember being a little girl in the first grade and hearing my teacher say, "And you girls will change your name when you get married," and I thought, "I won't." I didn't. My first husband was also an idiot, and I did all the work with our kids (my family also contributed SO MUCH, whereas his contributed nothing) so I had no problem giving them my name. If I ever get married again, I will also be keeping my name and if I ever have another child it's also getting my name. If whatever…

Lol this is why I'm mean to everybody 😂 Yes, the kind of man that will approach a stranger in the street and go off on them in the same breath, is the same man who will take literally ANY acknowledgment as encouragement to press their suit 🙄 I live in the city, and this is why when I'm out in public I look straight ahead and ignore everyone around me. Even then, you still get the catcalls.

I read an article yesterday in The Guardian talking about this subject that said "America punishes women for becoming mothers." 100% The expectation that we as women must work, take care of the home, tend to relationships, and be the primary parents is insane. Men are expected to have a supporting role at best 🙄 We are the only advanced nation that doesn't provide free childcare or any kind of paid maternity leave. We expect women to return to work, at no cost to the state, when their babies are…

Somebody in another thread a few weeks ago posted how she could go out to eat at nice restaurants with guys every night of the week if she wanted to, and I was like 'that's a good thing....???' Girl, no. Not for me. That sounds exhausting. I'd rather enjoy a dinner home alone by myself than waste mental energy on a man I have no interest in just to get a free meal!!!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
