1	"Our women’s class starts tonight for Rape Aggression Defense. It is NOT TOO late to sign up for this very important, and maybe life-saving course" - I just got this in an email at work, and it kinda bothers me. I see no inherent problem with these classes, it doesn't look like the sort that will go out and beat the crap out of people just in case, so people learning self-defence isn't a problem. The only thing that I see, however, is that they seem to be trying to hype the risk up out of proportion to get more panicked people to join. From people I know who have been unbelievably unfortunate in having to sadly go through the process as victims, at no stage were anyone "guilty until proven innocent". In fact, it was one of the hardest things they have had to do as not only was the burden of proof on them, but all the defence had to do was imply that they were just slags and "gagging for it" and that's it. Both of these "Schrodinger" examples are at the polar ends of the scale. Neither are really neutral. Courts, however, absolutely must be neutral, otherwise our courts are officially biased.
